It does seem a bit hard to be talking about a replacement while the ashes of Jay's season are still warm, but I agree about Gallagher. He is quick, tall, and strong, and he showed against Yeovil he has two good feet, scoring with his left and nearly getting another with his right. All he needs is more game time in the Prem, so this is his big chance.
Yes I agree with you that it does feel soon but the manager is going to be thinking about it now and will have to make a decision as early as this weekend so why shouldn't we talk about it? The next few days will be interesting once they establish the extent of the injury. Still feel **** about it
Not really. Gallagher is a centre forward, so won't be given more game time because of Rodriguez's injury. More likely is that Gaston or JWP will come in.
Gallagher is an attacking player with pace. Bit like Jay. And Jay has been scoring most of our goals, which is a centre forward's job. So I reckon we'll be seeing more of Gallagher for the rest of the season, although probably those other two will also get more chances. Depends who steps up given the chances they're sure to get.
If we want players to replicate Rodgriguz's role then I think Guly is the first choice replacement. If not Guly - then how about recalling Isgrove and giving him a go? Or Mayuka?
