I think we would have to forget about that, he would be a great signing as I have already discussed in a thread about Barnet.

Personally the release of Kuffour is a direct impact of McLeod's release. Kuffour and McLeod are quite similar players and seems with our budget for the coming season being reduced further it looks like it was a one or the other choice made by Mr. Scally and Hessenthaler. Seeing Kuffour leave is very sad as I thought he could of really been a hero at Priestfield and all last season Hess kept saying he is better than this league but if you gave me the choice between the two...logic suggests we are better off with McLeod than Kuffour.

I can't see us signing anyone until the new manager is in place, and thats not likely for at least a couple more weeks. McLeod may already have gone somewhere else by then, and no-one knows what type of player the new man would want anyway. I expect Kuffour who was on a big wage and also Simon King have been moved to to make funds available. It's pointless trying to guess which players we could sign because we don't know the style of play the new man will bring. Andy Scott for example, prefers a different type of player than say, Peter Taylor. The wait is very frustrating.

I personally would love to see him sign. He knows how to score at priestfield. could be that little bit extra that we need...

spot on Gills Prog Seller. he can score any type of goal and anywhere on the pitch. i once saw a behind doors friendy between MK Dons and AC Milan. He scored 5 goals. a 30 yard screamer, a header, a freekick, an overhead kick and a goal straight from a corner kick. he was amazing. i said to myself that night that he would be playing in the champions league, or in the cypriut league, or for a top top team within a year or so. unfortunately for him he took a backwards step and joined them w*****s from south east london. they ruined his career.

absolutely gutted Big Jo has gone. the man was a beast. so strong and hard

Assuming we had a manager, how would everyone feel about bringing McLeod to the Priestfield? Can't argue with his goal scoring record but could we ever see past 'that tackle'?

Could we ever see past `that tackle`?

Ah, another firm believer in the myth surrounding the anatomy of a black bloke <whistle>

If we bring in Mark Robson he may want him as I am not completely sure but was he working there while McLeod was there.

The transfer window doesn't open for another 5-6 weeks so I doubt that he will have signed for anyone until then. He must be worth taking a punt on given his goal record at Barnet. 32 goals in 73 games and joint top scorer for a team that constantly fights relegation is impressive and the release of Kuffour, King and Richards suggests that a bid is being lined up for him and/or other players that could be key.

Plus it stops him and Barnet scoring against us!

Yeah he would be ****ing great as we won't be able to get someone like Frank Nouble as the wage would hold us back and also he will probably be looking at League 1 or Championship level as he could play at that level, it is believed he was on something like 10k or more a week at West Ham so he would have to at least halve that to come to us. So really he is not coming to us and McLeod is a possibility as he will be looking for a bigger club possibly, and if he is going for a League 1 club which is struggling he may settle for us as that is where we are going.

Now he's been released surely he can sign for anyone. Fatty Evans has already signed some players for Rotherham. I refer to my earlier post that we won't sign anyone until we have a new manager in place.

Yeah if we really want him Hess and Scally would snap him up now.

he won't stay in this division, he'll be off to someone like leyton orient in the div above us...mark my words !

plus it won't be us after that game vs barnet at our place...no way !!!
