Ford Heath; the middle of nowhere
Has attracted a £350,000 bid from Swindon.

£350,000. That's only £50k less than we got for Grant Holt. That's also more than our entire squad cost to assemble.

Also, Crawley offered £100,000 for Grabban, but Rotherham rejected it.

It's just crazy money for this level - no way we can compete with that, so my fantasy of signing him has just been well and truly demolished.

Shows how much they want out of League Two, I suppose.

I hope the deal doesn't work <ok>

i suspect we have circa 200k to spend, and if our strike force do what they are supposed to do we could save most of that, i would rather the club spent in the summer when we know where we are

I would love to see a top quality central midfielder who can help control the game brought to the club

Weren't they bust recently? On their way to it again offering that sort of money.

On which topic, our financial results for the year to May 2011 seem excellent - 20% turnover increase and £20k profit. Might not be much but there won't be many clubs get anywhere near break even so a small profit is excellent. Still plenty of cash in the bank, still no debt. Great result and keeps us well set up to progress while others wonder where their next loan's coming from.

and results next january should show a substantial increase in club profits. one thing our results prove is that any players bought must be wholly financed by player sales. the size of towns squad , 39, appears on the high side. on the face of it, shrews are one of a handful of well run clubs. just hope we do not attract sheiks, russian olligarchs etc. i would not swap our rowland and board for any get rich quick types

are you lot accountants by any chance or football supporters?...will you still be so happy about our £20 grand profit when we just miss out on promotion again?, its not often a team gets three bites of the cherry!!...but hey...Rowlands still happy, thats good:emoticon-0114-dull:

sorry i have no desire for promo unless we are equiped with players to keep us up. for example the wobblers lost 6-0 at home to huddersfield tonight. is that what we want, er no. give me a high flying club in L2 any time, and when we can get promo and stay there great. in the meantime i leave you with==

jelly on the plate, jelly on the plate, wibble wobble , jelly on the plate!! 0-6 arf arf

oh and sir alex is selling wayne rooney, sounds as though wobblers need him

aj== accountants come first==every time

so lets get this right AJ, on our very last game ...and we need just one point to go up...you will hope we lose, on the off chance we might get relegated the following season or any other season?.....but are quite happy to see us in the top half of L2 every year and staying there!!, until a bunch of premiership players sign for us on free transfers and ask for no wages?.......is your glass half full? or half empty?...or have you just got nothing in it at all?......ambishion...bah!!... :emoticon-0172-mooni
