We're only 8-10th place team.

Nathan Jones does not have a clue.

My team Wrexham will go up before Charlton.

A total cuckoo manager who just isn't the man to take this football club forward.

Poor decision making and delusional comments after playing well for 45 minutes against Preston's reserves.

Don't care if we come back and win 10-2 today, I want him gone.

After the Preston game he said: “We’ve got a good squad. We haven’t proved it the first half of the season. But I think we’ve got a Championship-level squad, I really do.

If that's the case then surely the question has to be, why can't he get us into the top half of the table with a concrete chance of making the play-offs?

I was referring to the same old question that I sick and tired of answering.

Hats off to teh fact we are in second place in the league but me personally, I don't think we are anywhere near as good as our league position suggests.

Early doors there doesn't seem to be any consistency in teh division but I think once it settles down a bit we'll find our true place in the table which is around the halfway mark.

We just don't have enough good footballers.

With a break in my busy schedule today, social media has shown there is a new forum, Charlton for Life.
Dicky Plumb has started up another one, atm he's having a chat with the other member, guess who that is<whistle>

The Sheriff?

Can we expect a recruitment message soon do you think Elfs?

Good luck to anybody who wants to set up a new Charlton fans' forum.
The more the merrier, if each one offers something a bit different from other forums.
I think it's fair to say that CL, ITTV and Not606 Charlton are all quite different in character.

It'll be interesting to see what different approach this new 'Charlton for Life' forum takes.
It might be something quite surprising - you never know.

Personally though I don't think I'll be getting involved (even assuming I was wanted).
I've tried to help with Dickplumb's forums in the past, and things haven't always worked out. Wiser perhaps if I leave well alone.
It could be better off without me.

According to the Wrexham forum “ some guy is claiming to be a steward but a charlton fan and being disrespectful to the folk of wrexham” goes on to say should be fired. Its on page 2

Paul you may know them seems they are a little upset by the jones comment.

*****

I'm not on that forum mate so no idea who they are referring to.

I stopped stewarding there last season but called it a day. Have never liked the circus from a young age!

Too many Johnny come lately fans who being from America jyst don't get it.

Then there are the locals who up until four years ago all supported local EPL clubs an hour up the road in Liverpool and Manchester.

******

Looks like Ivor is telling another wopper, particularly as it would appear to be aimed at him....................unless there are two taffy Charlton fans who support Wrexham<laugh>

Sounds spot on to me.
I feel sorry for the life-long Wrexham fans. Had their Club hijacked and pimped, whether they wanted it or not.

Hope it never happens to CAFC.

From what I've heard the owners have done the job properly, from grass-roots level, and have been popular with the locals from the start. Not their fault our SMT were so stupid with the scarves etc. Still one of my favourite goals of the season was Godden smashing home that stoppage-time penalty. Could it be the goal that takes us up?

Perhaps I am judging the Hollywood stars too harshly.

There are some parallels between what they have done at Wrexham, and what Albert & Stanley Gliksten did at Charlton in the mid-1930's.
Phil Parkinson is perhaps the modern equivalent of their Jimmy Seed.

Maybe it's the Disney+ rubbish that I am more averse to.
Mickey Mouse had not yet "grown up a cow" ninety years ago, to quote David Bowie.

I still think good owners can benefit a Club and a community without all the showbiz nonsense.
Although, as my historical match reports will be showing over the next year or so, once Charlton Athletic reached the 1st Division the CAFC board appeared to take every publicity opportunity that came their way.
The number of exotic friendly matches that the Addicks played in 1937 alone was phenomenal.
In some ways we were the 1930's version of what Wrexham is now.
I guess all those lucrative fixtures and newspaper adoration was the Pre-WW2 equivalent of showing off on a Satellite TV channel.

Charlton fans should keep Udoh's elbow and Kone's leg breaker in mind next Thursday night should we win and they invade the pitch.

<doh>
A moderator on a Charlton forum, and a contact of our old CEO, alluding to violence next Thursday.

A bit rich doing this when his 25 stones will be stuck on a sofa abroad.

He's inviting Charlton supporters to target Udoh and Kone for retribution if there is a pitch invasion?

Some things don't change do they.
I don't suppose anybody on ITTV will be brave enough to call him out over such a comment.
I see three members actually liked it.

It's stuff like this that makes me glad I didn't have a change of heart about four months ago.
I was considering re-joining that forum - not to return as a regular poster, just to try and make peace with the people who run it.
Then I thought better of it.
Now I am grateful to be reminded why.
