Warnock & Pulis last time I looked had jobs. Not sure who else out there (that type of manager) has the success of taking average players from the championship to the prem that is available. (Big Sam anyone?)
I don’t know why this transfer window is so important? We will finish mid table and that’s achievable with the current squad. You’ve only got to look at last years window. Cardiff brought in Madine for a huge sum and didn’t need him at all. Players are overpriced in January I would rather waste money on loans rather than get players for over the odds and concentrate on the summer window.
Thanks for this Cliftonville - it’s the first time I’ve ever seen those figures. I suppose you have to add the cost of wages to the deficit - but we would have to pay wages whatever - and wages is something that SL keeps a very close eye on.
Yes. The player trading loss for 2017 - 18 was £9m. Financial year loss £23.5. Bristol City can't lose that for two seasons and comply with FFP. Players had to be sold.
we are currently in bottom half!... on points .. but 8 teams are within a 3 point spread 6 above us 1 below! This weekend none play each other! so all could lose! indeedover the next 4 matchdays the only fixtures amongst these 8 are:- Swansea v Vila Brum v Stoke Stoke v City Vila v PNE The same number of match's between teams in the top 7! Any team that can get 8 or more points from their next 4 games is going to be well placed! mid 12th to 8th would be good ...
Bah! Losing anything less than £40m is just lack of ambition! No worries though, spend enough and we're guaranteed to earn it back tenfold in Premiership TV money!!!!!
