It's a Sunday. Nobody gives a **** on a Sunday. There'll probably be an statement tomorrow at some point.

One week today, we'll be 45 minutes into our first Premier League game. That's the most important thing for me at the moment.

NO ! Don't think he needs to. Obviously won't pander to people with very short memories.

Maybe you're looking for him to take his ball back and go home.

If so, then administration, here we come !

Maybe he's looking at a compromise. Keep the afc but seeing that the 'associated' is not really necessary and not used by a number of club then modernise it all to Hull City Tigers Allam's Football Club. This would reflect the club's current position and maintain the afc that some people are so attacted to.

I expect the Allams to keep quiet on this for sometime. They need a good PR guru or someone who can tell good advice from bad!

It's good publicity for the rebels surely?

They would hope to attract American/foreign arms & expertise (somewhat covertly of course) via ways and means in potential exchange for a UN backed democratic government where the victors get to sit at the negociating table and win some degree of power.

    The Russians are backing Assad.

Look, I don't like it either however we are not FC Barcelona where the fans have voting rights - Los Socios.

If the plan works & Hull City/Tigers/City Tigers (delete as appropriate) go on to maintain PL status, qualify for Europe, win a cup, grow in financial terms, make profits (again you may select the desirable objective/s), then the initial ridicule AND publicity would then become irrelevant & we'd all bow down at the Temple of Allam.

You can't confuse ridicule with publicity - they go hand in hand

I spoke to a relative (season pass holder) about the name change and his view was that he doesn't care what we are called. It surprised me, but that's his view and I have to respect it.

I wonder if the Allams hadn't put out some 'feelers' amongst the community in order to ascertain the potential response to the name change? If so, let's suppose they found a high enough percentage of apathy, sufficient to persude them that they could pull it off without being driven out of town.

If they have done this & the feedback is not 'irreversibly damaging' then they've pushed ahead.

Or, they may not have much contact with the man on the street at all. This is what I suspect. They perhaps read the HDM

Or, they do receive info from the man on the street but ignore it since the average supporter doesn't know about business.

They certainly won a lot of kudos for saving the club & that gives you a scope for potential unpolular change.
