    I don't think even having Vidic alongside Turner would have helped us Saturday though. I believe it was the tactics first and poor midfield play second that cost us.
    But having said that, Bassong is obviously our best CB and we need him back ASAP. He is athletic and ruthless at times. Bennet looked OK with the ball in front of him but unsure when he was turned or had to make a decision.
    It's no good keeping on about Ruddy either, he is injured and probably out until April so that's that. Whether he would have saved some of the goals on Saturday is meaningless conjecture.

    ...what, like losing by one goal to Man C, Chelski, WBA . this was the first game in which we have lost by more than one goal with him playing. he is not as good as Ruddy, but then there are few in the PL that are. as a backup he is adequate, no more.

    I didn't say about the margin off loss?? As a keeper having 3-5 goals put past you in games quite regulary effects your confidence. That's all.
