It's crackers, WYP have dropped a rick, they've painted themselves into a corner, what is madness is that we seem intent on joining them. We could only ever escalate it as far as we have, so what is the next objective? We should remember that this is entwined with our promotion ambitions and we don't need to sacrifice one for the other. Everyone do what they think is right and appropriate, but allow others the right to do the same. This is not a huge 'conscience' issue, it's a point of precedent, it's a point of finding a way to make WYP be more reasonable in their judgments and we have put that we'll and truly in motion. Other clubs do not give this level of importance that these threads would try and do; the Newcastle vs Sunderland derbies are all 'Bubble Games', WYP simply lost the plot on the risk level and we are simply mad if in any way we allow it to be a cause for a lack of focus from the key club objective of promotion.
you mean theres a football match on ? ... it seems some had forgotten that or simply see it as irrelevant ... when in reality its a game to get back to winning ways after a bad loss and get our automatic promotion push back on track .... but hey I guess they have priorities eh ?
This is not about the principal of bubbling, there are specific games that are regularly bubbled and this is because there is a history of violence at those games. If there are justifiable issues with regard to public safety, like Millwall v West Ham, or Swansea v Cardiff, then fair enough. The point here, is that there is no such issue, this is the first time I am aware of, that a game has been bubbled with absolutely no justification. The reality is that this game has been bubbled because WYP are sulking over the Leeds court case and not because there any is any serious risk. They're ****s and deserve to be challenged for being ****s.
I've been to several hundred football matches, possibly more than a thousand games and if I have to miss one, to make a point about not being treated as a criminal, then I'll do so, regardless of our league position. The fact is, that there'll be at least 500 there anywhere anyway, so me doing what I believe is right, will have little bearing on the support of the team.
I absolutely agree with you OLM, the problem is, it almost certainly will not happen to us again like this. But like I've said, we've made our point, politically, and in the media, with the FSF, Politicians and even a young lad taking them to court. I'm quite sure they never expected all this aggro, and that alone will make them think twice in the future. We made our point, we need to move on. Protest on the day if you wish, peacefully, but the whole point is our football team, and winning promotion.
Absolutely right, they deserved to be challenged and they have been and, unless the FSF, et al, show a remarkable lack of diligence, the principle will be more than adequately defended and foolish decisions prosecuted without Hull City supporters forfeiting their natural and essential role of support, as it serves no real purpose.
