They'd need a lot more goals than us.
I'd rather win on points, though.

I'd rather....feck it, I'd take winning the league by one goal, scored on the last day by the wind catching a Newcastle goalies clearance and uturning past him.....

Way to jinx us Magic <doh> Reading that made me go all feint

I still can't see it for a number of reasons, City have a much bigger pool of players and now only one thing to focus on, Chelsea have Maureen's influence over ref's, Arsenal are still strong enough to at least whip the smaller clubs they have to play. For me it will still end up being between the oil clubs but who the **** knows now. No way did I expect us to be this close with 9 games left and with our attack as it is we could beat any team on our day. We are playing the best football I've seen in years and for that I'm grateful....truly grateful <ok> You're spot on about the run we're on and it seriously is exactly the kind of post xmas form that wins titles but can we keep it up........maybe not but I do know one thing for sure, there won't be many teams looking forward to playing us over the next couple of months.

Chelsea's last 8 fixtures:

Arsenal (h), Palace (a), Stoke (h), Swansea (a), Sunderland (h), Liverpool (a), Norwich (h) & Cardiff (a). 5 of their last 8 fixtures are against relegation candidates. It may play against them with all teams at the bottom scrapping for points but I think they have the easiest fixtures out of everyone. They are the favourites despite what Mourinho says.

That being said I prefer having our problem of the defence making mistakes over their problem of strikers not being able to score. Much easier to tighten up our defence with a few training sessions and tactical tweaks, they can't sort their strikers out until summer at best.

One of the main reasons I want us to win the league is so Gerrard finally gets a PL title, something a man with so much passion for the club truly deserves.

Imagine how Carra would feel if we went on to actually win it - he'd be so pleased, but so gutted at the same time!

Its still very difficult - we basically have to win everything especially against City and Chelsea.

We are most definitely within a shout though.

That would be funny if he did it wearing a Chelsea shirt.

I'll say it again - and keep saying it until you feckers actually listen!

There is no point in worrying about Arsenal, Chelsea or City until we actually play them. So forget about them. This truly is the time to concentrate one game at a time. If we do win in then it will in all probability be on the last day of the season. So let's wait to see what our result is and what our points tally amounts to then.

And if we have the most points - then we can go stark raving barmy and paint the whole country RED

Still a lot of points up for grabs you know - anything can happen.

Is it too late for United to go down?!

Frank!!! <yikes>

That just wouldnt be right

You have a good time Sun watching with 4 Mancs? :)

It would burn right off him anyway DR lol..

Oh yes, among my favourite quotes of the day was (& I kid you not)...."we're getting nothing from this ref"...I just turned and asked him if he actually just said that....not one hint or irony did he detect...just had to chuckle...

Same Manc, who up to this point followed every crap result with a "we are loyal at mancland" type Facebook post has resorted to pictures and memes about Sturridge diving....It's beautiful....just beautiful...

By the time that we play City the situation may well be more clear. All we have to do is concentrate upon our own performances and garner as many points as possible. If we are still in the mix at that point then everything is possible. Even if we do slip out of contention then a top 4 finish is still within our grasp.
