ITTApologist have a problem with Mr van Gerwen as he gets to the point and for the majority of the time he is correct, he just does not pussy foot around. Ivor has possibly seen the light. I'll take up Ivor's invitation to come back on.....eventually.
Have seen a bit of wrestling between Kojak and Mr Lardi on ITTApologist, I hope it does not result in a fall out. Violence is never the answer but destruction of hoardings and windows perhaps would have sped up the departure of the prick.
If I have understood correctly Reams is trying to position ITTV as a forum where all points of view and opinions can be expressed and argued, but without disagreements getting too personal or abusive (anymore) and also without one standpoint or one clique of posters becoming too dominant - which can lead to other members not bothering to post different views, either through direct fear of being bullied, or because they feel their views just won't be listened to. Minimising the personal stuff and preventing one viewpoint becoming too dominant are not easy things to achieve, especially given the histories of many members there.
I do agree with you Mr Lardiman, but the many apologists need taking down a few pegs. Mr van Gerwen is doing a fantastic job and should be applauded.
Personally, I think encouraging a wide range of opinions and discouraging personal digs and that kind of thing is the best way to attract new members to that forum. Such a policy will need time and patience to be effective though, it may not produce quick results.
But when you have a moderator like Ivor who likes to be controversial, shall we say, ITTApologist will always be double standards.
I respect all the time and effort that Ivor puts in to his forum. That is the reason why I am not going back on there. The apologists don't like the truth and the dummies come out of the pram, Ivor does not need this as he loses membership. Ivor is a very misunderstood individual. I had a drink with him at Walsall, and he's alright, we even practiced karaoke at Bury.
He (Reams) has been as good as gold to me since I went back He understands that I don’t like Duchatelet supporters.
I think you’ll find there’s very few RD sympathisers on there now -most realise he’s got to go before the club implodes
Paul understands that to make a forum work you have to have two alternative views, with Lardi flip flopping somewhere in between.
