    sad but true. platini isn't the answer. he has all the makings of another blatter tho i hope i'm wrong.

    Yeah if Blattet stands, regardless of who against, he already had enough support of other nations to win. Platini knows this and won't stand against him to lose. Platini wanted to put somebody else up so he didn't win by default though.

    David Gill is quickly becoming the favourite to replace Platini as head of UEFA if Platini succeeds in taking over FIFA.

    Also Platini has said he is proud of Europe for standings up to Blatter.

    Nah he's withdrew his support and told Blatter to his face to stand down and give FIFA a new breathe of fresh air.
