Bruce wouldn't know what to do with Messi, same as when he had Hatem. Carroll suits his ****ty style of play, we should get Jon Parkin in to partner him
Mrs doubtfire will **** it up thats for sure, but theres still some of what rafas built in the side , so it might take a little while
he's not anywhere near what he was, he can hardly move, 12 games, no goals last season. If you think he's going to score 7-10 in 15 games you should change your medication.
Liverpool Total Games 58 Goals 11 West Ham United Total Games 142 Goals 34 Stats don’t seem to support your optimism. I hope your right though.
Aye but he didn't play in a Steve Bruce team then, did he? West Ham made the mistake of actually trying to play football, we won't be doing that.
we did try and kick the ball to his head, we did have Moyes after all, and he's just a slightly better version of Bruce. I like Andy, should've been in the England squad more as he was the best at 'Plan B' (or the only Plan if you prefer), but those injuries have really taken their toll, as you will discover. Shame, he's an 'old fashioned' number 9 whose body just can't take the rigours of the modern game.
Don't think there was a cat in hell's chance we were going to sign him The Merc/Money option was always going to be a winner - done deal before the end of the season, just like Rafa regardless of what anyone said
Look, any window under Bruce where his son, cattermole or elmohamedy don’t turn up at our club is a ****ing great one in my book.
Lazy bastards. I **** off to a wine bar for a bit and you lot do **** all updates. Step up your game you lazy twats.
If we get 3 goals out of Carroll I think we'll be doing well. To be honest if we get 3 minutes I think we'll be doing well. Mind he's 30 so that's another reason Rafa left we can tick off the list. We are allowed to sign older players.
Where has this idea come from that Bruce plays long ball? I can't recall a club where he has done this? Certainly not at Sunderland, Hull, Wigan or Sheff Wed. All those clubs when going through bad spells probably did, but every manager suffers that, as Rafa did when we got in bad runs. Tactically he played with 3 at the back at Hull and Palace too which should suit us if he retains it. He is a bit like KK too in that he worries less about tactics and tends to rely on his motivational skills and players judgement. To be honest its a bit of a cheap dig, probably because he's an English coach of the older generation. Don't get me wrong time will tell, but labelling him a long ball on his previous employment seems wildly wide of the mark. Indeed the only time I can really recall him being very negative (still wasn't really long ball) was when he first went in at Villa and was trying to stop the rot. I watched a couple of their games and they were Rafa type negative. To be fair to him he didn't even hide it in the post match interview, he admitted to setting out to not get beat such was the dire situation they were in. I don't know why our fans are being so negative before he's even had a chance. Its not an inspiring appointment, but its split milk now and we need to get behind him and the team. At least let him **** it up or play long ball before he's cast out.
