Carroll confirmed on a 1 year deal. Sounds funny but I'm a little bit excited about having him back. He'll work his socks off when he gets on the pitch and he's an absolute handful which we all know. The key is him staying fit which has been a challenge for him over the last 8 years since he left. We only really saw him for 11 games in the Premier League before he left. If nothing else we have a local lad in the dressing room who knows what it takes to pull on the shirt and what the club means to the fans,we don't have many of those sadly. If he can help settle some of the new lads in it'll be a deal well worth doing in my opinion. Andy Carroll is a big player...he’s a menace! I was gutted when he left but you can’t turn that kinda money down. I’m ecstatic he’s back, he bosses defenders and he bullies them and winds them up and I ****ing love that in a player. Keep him fit and he will do damage, hopefully only on the pitch tho. I also love the fact we got him back for nowt when we sold him for £35m...it’s like the exact opposite of Pogba and Man Utd
You paid no fee because he's on £120K a week, and fit for less than half the calendar. WHU wanted shot so bad, you could have held out for a fee!
We'd already got rid of him, tried for a couple of years before that when it was clear he was never going to get back to anywhere near what he was. He can barely run or jump any more.
