Looking at it again in slo mo, it's deliberate. Below shows it best. Look very carefully at the direction of travel, back and to the left... please log in to view this image
I think every one of you would be very pissed off if similar happened against your team and it wasn't given. Not sure what every one else is watching but this BBC lot who are all saying it's 'laughable' are talking out of their collective arses.
You can make a case either way. But the point is that Var has done nothing to remove controversy, all it's done is slow the game down, put impossible pressure on the ref, and left everyone still arguing. And how the **** were there only 3 mins injury time after that?
ITV are saying the same. Roy Keane is fuming. Just gone to adverts, I expect it to return with the other 3 lying in a pool of their own blood and Keane sitting there arms crossed.
I completely agree that he should have played on as in real time there was plenty doubt and he could have easily just waved play on, and probably should have. Once he viewed it though......
Tbf I remember about 10 years ago, Carrick got one against him at Chelsea which was ball to hand. Nobody questioned it. It's ALL very subjective tbh.
For me, what’s hard to accept is that he looked at it for a couple of minutes and still got it wrong!
