It's the kind of thing that Adel Taarabt would do....

Is this the true cause of your hatred, Swords?

Queens........I'm not too sure just what you want me to admit to, but I'm sure I did say that Taarabt hadn't covered himself in glory at Fulham and a change to Milan would do him good.
That is NOT saying that he's not good enough to play at the highest level which is what you and Swords have repeated ad nausium.

You two obviously aren't going to admit that you were wrong and as Stan says, you're trapped by your previous comments.

Oh well...........I'll leave you to it.

You couldn't help it, could you Imaz? People can't dislike a player without some sort of prejudice, eh? I overlooked your distasteful accusation toward Queens earlier on in the thread but not this time.

Its funny that COL, Damage and everyone else can have a debate about Taarabt without leveling sinister accusations like you just have against people.

You're out of order here pal.

Well good evening boys, appollogies for the delay in replying. Time diffrnece and a few other factors involved there, but anyway

PD, I dont follow your logic that if i dont like a oplayer 1 then i must like his replacement. thats absolute garbage mate. I repeat again what i said in my previous post, i never said his "replacements are any better than Adel.
ithink the late night and copious amounts of alcohol are having an efect on your posts. id love to debate this with you seriously, but based on your previous post, that clearly isnt going to happen ...right now.
I'm also impressed that you tried to take on the goliath that is Stan. i've only seen afew get points off him and they were sure of thier arguments. yours mate, fell well short on this occasion.
Now let me make my opinions perfectly clear, so we can have no more lies or made up crap.
I did not believe Adel would cut it with us in the prem..proven IMO
i did not believe he would make a good prem footballer unless he changed his outlook, attitude & mental state...Foolham proved that for me
I thought he needed a change of culture and scenery mainly to get away from his bad influences in the UK and realise what he could possibly achieve- proven
he completely disrespected our club, management and players (Re COLINS BOOK) and as such i dont se him being at QPR now as a positive.

Now, please feel free to prove any of that wrong

    Also,
I wasnt "delighted" to see him go. Gutted would be more apt to see a player with so much talent, dis the club, want out and waste the gift he had. i have NEVER posted that i was happy to see him go

Again we are at that point where you are assuming my opinions and putting out there things i have never said. I dont imagine you are a 12 yr old girl therefore i dont imagine you are offended by my opinions.

Col, Good on you for that. I respect you for that post. <ok>

Im not trapped by anything mate. If you, PD or anybody else can prove to me that adel has treated our club, management and other players with respect and dignity..& always put the club first, was willing to do his utmost for us and put in the hard graft,.....Then i will happily change my opinion opf him

An example would be Jamie Makie. he not the most gifted player and certainly not as good as adel, but he tried and put in the effort. Whilst i accept that he prob needed to go and wasnt the way forward, i also acknowledge his contribution EVERY TIME he pulled on the shirt.

if only he could have passed that on to adel....

Like i said..Good Luck to ael where ever he may be and what ever he does.hes doing well, but his last 2 years with us were a disgrace.
    Heres a thought
If he hadnt of had the 1 "wonder year"..would you still be defending a player that totally took the pis out of our club. forget the promo year and asses his perfomances outside that?

I really cannot believe this thread actually led to an argument. Also, just one point. Those who are saying they would take Taarabt back, would you also want Remy back? People saying they wouldn't have Remy back because he doesn't want to be here, yet Taarabt clearly doesn't either and he's certainly not as good as Remy.

Considering none of us have/had to work with Adel and he is creating such divisive thread between us all on here, i can only imagine how divisive his presence must have been in the dressing room. That is why I personally am happy to see him go. It's a team game and unity is paramount to success. I fully understand that everyone is entitled to their own opinions and I'm not shouting anyone else down, just adding to the debate.

Taarabt's playing against Catania tonight, 19.45 UK time, streams will be here: http://www.vipboxuk.co/sports/football.html

    Seems a changed man: http://www.repubblica.it/sport/calc...sultati_ora_lottiamo_tutti_insieme_-83184626/

"In questo periodo stiamo lavorando l'uno per l'altro. Sappiamo che singolarmente non possiamo vincere le partite. Spero di restare. Daro' tutto per questa squadra e voglio che tutti mi ricordino''

Tr: "In this period we are all working for each other. We realise that taken singularly we cannot win matches. I hope to remain (here). I will give my all for this team and I want everyone to remember me"

Fine words from a great player.

Arabic speakers are advantaged in learning other languages. Known fact but not exactly sure why, maybe because of Arabic's pronounciation, unusually large vocabulary or perhaps the extended alphabet. To read Arabic (Quran aside) one also has to be able to fill in the vowels which are left out in newspapers, books etc. That takes some doing believe me, I spent 15 years with a native Arabic speaker and I can't speak Arabic nor read it.

Italian is well known to be the world's easiest language to learn, both you and I managed which confirms it. Look at professional cycling and find a rider who can't speak Italian. Ok, Bradley Wiggins, but anyone else?

Didn't know that about Arabic, interesting. Totally agree on Italian, very straightforward. I have no innate linguistic ability but found it relatively easy to pick up (unlike Cantonese, which I spent 6 months studying full time, and now can remember virtually nothing of). Italian now very rusty. Small issue that when I learned, in Milano, I had lots of Neapolitan mates and picked up the accent and some dialect. Now when I work, in Firenze, my colleagues always say wtf are you talking like that for? But they like having me sit in on meetings with government officials, without telling them that I speak a little, and watching their faces when I chip in with something. One bloke who had been saying something along the lines of 'it doesn't impress me that you brought a foreigner along' nearly shat himself.

I always think Portuguese is a handy language - seem to have a fast track into all the Latin languages, but sound Eastern European. They have all the sounds you need for most European languages and can read a fair few of them easily too.

Better to sound from virtually anywhere than from Firenze. Can't stand that accent and all the idiotic banter. Veneto accent is awful as well. I don't go to mainland Italy anymore as it pisses me off too much, only Sicily to old friends a couple of times a year. Reminds me of the old days and now dialect is dying out fast there really aren't any problems understanding anymore. Only people who don't seem to speak proper Italian now are emigrants coming back from the USA on holiday who sound like parodies out of a Scorsese film. Still, same the world over, look at Australia and how they talk.

Portuguese is very, very difficult not being phonetic like Italian, can read it but understand virtually nothing when they speak it. Spanish the same, Agentinian Spanish however is slightly easier due to Italian influence on the pronounciation. In fact, back in the day allegedly Italian was put forward as the national language but wisely they chose Spanish.

The difference between Taarabt and Remy is that I saw little evidence during his time at Loftus Road, which admittedly was fairly brief, that the latter didn't want to perform consistently to his best.

Another excellent first half by Taarabt against Catania. Commentators on SKY Calcio were full of praise for his techinical skills.
