I think LJ was quite a good manager -
I rarely comment on LJ BUT the statement is actually reasonably true. Since he departed there has been a lot references to "his way / s" being the base to what is there now and mostly on these ideas and implementations very complimentary, even from parties outside of the club.
We are where we are now due to SL [ HE, decided and did sanction LJ leaving, but has in the odd reference since questioned it! ] but we have moved on. even DH could not match the last part of LJ'S reign, and NP certainly didn't in his end of season tenure.
With NP [ I always back the manager, whether NP would have been my choice or not, and to be honest I don't think I most on 606 could aadmit they are qualified to pick the "right one" as far a manager goes ] he was the pick of a unemployed bunch at the time. Has achieved a bit in his managerial career and is now responsible for yet another major turn in forward planning for BCFC. Although it does prove to a point that what we had, was, pre NP was not that bad!
A football club is a big jigsaw puzzle, except when you start all pieces are face down! … usually you start with the 4 corners, sort out the edges … City's jigsaw does have the outer framework, but the centre bits are often unknown values …. [ departments ] a few bits join together,
we think, only to find out they look right, but are wrong … medical department for one!
so now we have the 4 corners, and the edges completed... with some of the middle bits joined up and correct, or acceptable …. but there is still the odd bit that has fallen off the table yet to be found!!
