Its pumpkin time

It's all high tech these days.. About 20 years ago around Xmas I was at me mams bless her.. She went out and asked me to take down the tree.

I couldn't get the lights off and thought she's tied them on.. I sawed them off then when I told she said they were actually part of the tree

 

Nah we got to carve our own ones, part of the fun.

 

Im just worried that when you couldn't take the lights off you thought sawing them off was the way to go tbh mate

 

Well it looks good what they do these days.

No way was that happening with a turnip.. You were lucky if the lid fitted by the time your dad had rinsed both his forearms

My grandson came round yesterday, he brought round a pumpkin he'd carved out for me, he could barely carry the thing it was so big. Anyway I congratulated him on the superb job he'd done, then the little voice pops up, where's your decorations for halloween, I'm like errrr....next year, promise.
