Would like to see us go for Moses, he would be perfect for our team but hes a player who has to be used correctly, bit like n'zogbia... Cos he isn't being played in his correc position he isn't as much of an impact. I still feel we will have to look in the lower leagues again cos the majority of players who are down at the bottom are on hefty wages!

what also needs attention is to consider a more stable team, making less changes. i'm not convinced by the 'let's keep everyone competing for places' policy now. if they are tactical, then fine, but otherwise, play the best team available. there is no criticism of yesterday, as he wanted to play a 4-5-1, but we have seen a quite a few changes since the Swansea game, i.e 4 or 5 a game.

Morison has done well for us this season, he clearly is suffering from a confidence issue and hopefully he will turn a corner beginning this weekend!

Though, i do believe we will need to invest in a top striker! The group of strikers we have will not be good enough for a 2nd season in the prem...

It's not a confidence issue. It is a lack of service issue. When he came on against Wigan he was really good, and nearly scored.

I also agree with max's point about a stable team! I think once we have enough points to say were safe, i expect to see ryan bennett come in and maybe see a more stable side!

I really think we need shell out 4 or 5 mil on rhodes or rodriguez in the summer and play a 4-2-3-1. Alot of top sides use that formation, and it really annoys me when i read that its a negative formation.

That's a bit harsh, he wasn't even on the bench!

    Di Santo? <ok>
With the amount of chances they created, they could/should have had six points from their last two games

It's all too easy to say that strikers don't get the service, he could have made many runs and got the ball played to him on a tee, but he didn't and what needs to be worked out is why. I think he is not reading the game well enough, but can be helped to do that. I may well be wrong, but when Pilks had his chance, Moro should have been storming towards the goal, not saying that he would have got there in time for the ball to pulled back, but even a glimpse of on rushing forward would distract, put doubts in the mind of the keeper (is he going to shoot or pull it back etc).

having said that the service was limited but one doesnt operate without the other

I'm not saying that Morison is a bad player etc and slagging him off.

I just think that we need to invest in some premier league quality players that are proven at this level, I don't mean washed up has beens looking for a pay day I mean people who perform but are in clubs that are in trouble and may go down. Like the Hoiletts and the Rodallega of this league.

I went to the Wigan game and Rodallaga and Moses were quality, their ball control and first touch were far superior than Morison, Crofts and even Holt, and the pace and power that Moses has was incredible. We need this kind of quality if we are to stay in this league long term. We have got through the hardest part which was staying up the first season now we need to start investing and bringing in some players that can keep us there.

I think Morison can do a job and also Holt, but going forward you can't just bury your head in the sand and ignore the bigger picture. Lambert brought in players that were hungry to prove themselves in the PL, they have done that and it has kept us up but going forward we need to start looking at players like Naughton and thinking long term.

Haha, Rhodes has scored another goal for Huddersfield. The guy is prolific, he's going to cost whoever buys him a lot of money!

Although Rhodes is a good striker, just think back two seasons ago and remember what some of those defences were like ?
I do wonder if it might be a bit to big step up for him to the prem right now ?

I dont think so, i think he would be superb addition to any squad in this league and will be a star striker sooner or later in the premiership. Either him or rodriguez please <ok>

Ched Evans banged in his 27th of the season last night. I think he's fits our requirements. Big, mobile, score tap ins and screamers from outside the box.

well i think you'll be waiting a while! we simply cannot afford the wages of those players. victor moses is alleged to be on 25k a week... AT WIGAN! <yikes> thats nearly double our wage cap and our wage cap is set for a reason! if we wanted to, we could throw the money at them but if it goes tits up like at qpr its bye bye football club. we need to carry on doing exactly what we are doing now for a couple more seasons - we all trust lambert can keep doing this, i know i do. don't break the wage cap (though i'm sure it'll be slightly increased year upon year we stay up) and bring in young, fresh talent from below the premier league that can make the step up, or youngsters looking for their chance from premier league clubs, players who have a re-sale value if things go wrong (or right and get even more for them when big clubs come calling). some fans need to stop with the 'buy proven premier league players' crap - the only ones we could afford to pay are cheaper because they've failed at this level. our current players are now 'proven premier league players' - its a stupid term so lets stop pretending it means something it doesn't... it means expensive!
