c15k, means that the club have lost around 6-7k supporters by comparison to 12 months ago, and that's BEFORE the introduction of the membership scheme! Some bloody legacy that is!
We've had 18 months of dross, very disappointing given the supposed quality of players we have in the squad! Come on Villa get that compensation paid and put us all over in Hull out our misery!
He doesnt know his best formation, how long have we stumbled from 352 to 442 and i think we've tried 433 aswell recently. BCC is right its not a best 11 it prob is a best 15 to rotate but surley they rotate into the system? We rotate players and systems which leads to players playing in wrong positions. Bruce is pissed off, he can moan at the fans but ulimatley his employers are causing this situation, he knows it but wont come out and say it...yet
It's always bullshit blaming supporters ('fans' always sounds very American to me). They pay their money and have a right to entertainment. Those who are paid decent wages should really perform.
You have no right to 'entertainment' at all. If you want entertaining buy a ticket for a variety show. Bruce is right the atmosphere is toxic. For what ever reasons. Six 'fans' in front of me couldn't even be arsed to clap our first goal on Friday night never mind cheer the team. Those booing Clucas are the clueless ones.
That dross includes the fewest home defeats, second most home goals scored and the second best home defence in the league It is probably close to the best record we've ever had at the KC. Funny how arrogance and self-righteousness can get in the way of enjoying things.
Entertainment is subjective, they pay their money to watch a football game, if they find it entertaining or not is completely irrelevant.
Funny how people can't understand the difference between results and performance? We won last Friday, the performance was dire!
Bruce has a point, our fans have been terrible in general all season. Rubbish home crowds, small away followings, no atmosphere, booing/jeering players, its a complete mess. You can point to Bruce or the players and blame them but great fans don't rely on anyone else. Did the Dortmund fans all sit down and shut up when they were bottom of the league a few seasons ago? Did Rangers fans stop going when they were booted into the 4th tier? Do Leeds still have the best away following in the league despite a decade of mediocrity? After decades of dross our fans got spoilt with promotions and premier league football, now they expect success and have forgot how to support the club when things go against them. We're 4th in the table and will be in the play-offs ffs, its not like we're looking at relegation, its certainly better than most relegated teams over the past few years.
Performances and results aren't the same thing. Though we are fourth and there have been some decent games, the football has been largely rubbish to watch this season and I don't think recognising that makes people arrogant. I find the mood I'm in at kick-off makes a massive difference to how much I enjoy the game. For me, Charlton away was the least enjoyable game of the season, but I know most think it was Derby away (I suspect the latter bothered me less, as I'd pretty much already written us off as auto-promotion contenders by then).
You're an idiot is you don't know which one is more important. Do you think Burnley fans are complaining when their poor performances are turning into results?
Personally I don't think its been as bad as people are making out, we constantly have to play against teams with 11 men behind the ball, that's not easy to do and doesn't always lend itself to fluent attacking performances. It could be better sure but it could be a hell of a lot worse as well.
all of those clubs have very proud histories and therefore incredible fan bases. And Leeds away support being great isn't a surprise, most of their fans live outside of Leeds.
Shouldn't our poor history make the supporters more humble? I'm not quite sure on your logic. I would have thought bigger clubs would have more fickle bases.
I suspect Boro will have had the highest travelling support in the Championship this season and they're almost all coming from Boro.
SB may have lost his way in regards ti team selection and tactics etc. However, he has had to walk a fine line between owners and fans for a couple of years now and has generally retained a measure of dignity in the process. Home form has been the basis of our challenge this season and if we had beaten poor teams like Forest and MKD we would be 4 points better off and still in with a decent shout of top 2. SB has to take a share of the blame, but so do the players who have seriously under performed in the last few weeks. Nothing wrong with a manager issuing a rallying call to the fans - if we can't get up for the play offs, there's something wrong.
If you want to pay each and every week to watch that tripe, your the idiot! Each to their own as they say!
I've supported City throughout those decades you refer to, and if it's been about results most would have walked decades ago! Supporting City has rarely been about results
