Liverpool Vs Manchester / Salford

So in the course of one week, we play City twice , shortly followed by united twice in the course of one week.

How sublime would it be to smash the Gtr Manchester cities 4 times in that space of time?

sadly, reality says they are higher in the table and have won the 4 last meetings!

To think fans were worrying about / hoping to draw one another in the CL semis in 2007 and 2008.

Now bragging rights will be about making the last 8 of the Europa league!!

Winner of the comp gets a place in the CL.
So this competition has its worth nowadays, especially since its extremely unlikely that either Pool or United will qualify for the CL via the league.

The last meeting they were totally outplayed and got a lucky smash and grab

Like I said before, maybe they will get lucky again, probably not though.

The other games you mention was a different manager so what is the relevance? What is the relevance of Man Utd's 3 point PL lead? Especially given we're now 6th in the form table whereas they still can't get top half, so we're probably going to be above them by the time the games are played anyway.

Actually we might not be above them and will just have a game in hand instead. You know, because we have to go play a cup final instead.

Again, you have a point, in terms of form etc.
But anything can happen.
 
Personally I like what Klopp's said about wanting the game, needing to 'clear something' and having something to prove against them after the last game. We'll be a danger for them

I've been saying it longer than that.

Yeah things happen, like us having the biggest injury crisis of any PL team (even though [HASHTAG]#bbcsalford[/HASHTAG] only ever cover Man Utd's).

I mean you have been saying you will be above them soon since Christmas and here were are, nearly in March, and you are still behind them, albeit by only 3 points.

You are only 5 points ahead of us too :p
I would bet money on Chelsea finishing above both of you at this point :D

Form table mean **** all in the end. Christ almighly, some utd fans got deluded by their earlier run this season and started talking about titles ffs!
Also Pools form is nothing to shout about!

I hope pool smash em over the tie but the reality remains that they are above us in the table and have won the last 4 games.

Our form under Klopp is we get to the final in 50% of cups we play in <ok>
