Redruthyella Not at all a slanging match.. and for what it's worth. I too remember very well Tony Waddington's great side and a little before then. That team of 72? Would be easily top 6 nowadays but HOW I crave that we could play as well as we did then... Sadly, whilst Pulis is our Manager, we NEVER will. That is coming from a longtime Stoke fan and I'm not the only Stoke fan who thinks that way. We support OUR teams Red ruth.. Let's all move on and you too Beef. Personally I want T.P. out ASAP but I don't appoint the Manager I support my hometown club. What's wrong with that? fella's have a pt on me!
not too sure what all the arguing is about. the facts are these: stoke won the worst game of football i've ever seen. EVER. they pressed high and worked hard and for that reason alone they deserved their win. norwich were dreadful until fox came on last ten minutes. the game was so bad to watch it barely deserved a goal but if any team was going to score it was going to be stoke. they were the better team on the day and are a better team than us in general. its not great to watch but they are 8th in the league so it works well for them. there are no rules as to what style you play the game. well done stoke - difficult side to play against and some very good players. just not my cup of tea
I agree Red, Tony Waddington is I am sure is turning in his grave with what we have had to endure this season. As has been said we have a go at TP for his negativity, stubborness etc. I was most disappointed who he left behind when upto 5000 of us were in Valencia. We rage at some of his selections. I am sure your suppport saw the difference when Pennant coame on after 20 odd minutes. Whey did he not start? Last week Upson did so well and scored, why leave him out? I wish Norwich success and am sure that Lambert will be making every effort to play a different game against us next time up. Best of luck for the rest of teh season. Cheers
