Perhaps "destroyed" is a bit strong. I'd expect any of those 6 teams to turn either Utd or Arsenal over though.
Ha ha, you prick. If you want nice lovely debate, which we're all more than capable of giving you, try a different approach. Tosspot.
No, you're embarrassing. A ridiculous, sad, whiney little wind up merchant. You're opening post got the response it warranted. If you don't like or can't handle it I suggest you sod off and close the door on the way out you twat. Otherwise, if you'd like to seriously explain why these sides are capable of destroying us though your insight will be more than interesting.
I'd rather focus on how you speak to people online which you obviously wouldn't do in the real world. I'm visiting Manchester this Saturday as it happens..balls in your court.
Seriously? Good one, if I were up there I would happily meet you. Not a problem. Unfortunately I have a prior commitment, let me know any other time though tough guy.
Barca - hammered you previous two meetings..still a class apart IMO. Madrid - would score for fun against your defence and dominate your midfield. Admittedly their defence is poor so could see you scoring too. Juventus - proved what a solid team they are in the last 18months. Swept Chelsea aside with ease and got valuable away goals if in knockout stages. Shakhtar - look very good..better than I expected. Think they would dominate your midfield and can put the ball away..not always fairly. Dortmund - absolute class team and would give anyone a game. Would, again, IMO, be too much for this Utd midfield. Finally, Bayern - see above. Also hammering Dortmund domestically. In the last 2 seasons Utd in Europe have been far from impressive - early group exit last year then hammered by Bilbao after scrapping past Ajax (a team Dortmund and Madrid tucked up with ease). This season Utd have done what was required within 4 games which allowed them to rest players but again and only IMO 5 or so years back Utd could rest players and still win. Hard to say the same nowadays. How's that for wumming?
Lol I'll be the first to admit it's cringy I just don't appreciate being spoken to like a twat online when it's uncalled for and wouldn't happen in the real world.
How do you know that he wouldn't have the bollocks to call you a twat to your face as well then? Massive assumption there lad.
Only the comment about the previous meetings with Barce is backed up by fact, the rest is just opinions. Bayern are always hot and cold and have a dodgy defense (Badstuber is out for a long time now as well and they will miss him), Real are deadly going forward but extremely shaky at the back (including Casillas for the past season or so), Shakhtar are a useful team with a couple of real talents but they were made to look better by a couple of poor Chelsea performances, Juve have a world class midfield but they rely on those midfielders to score a lot of goals as they lack any sort of consistent striker, I do agree with the first half of your Dortmund comment though, they would definitely give any team a run for their money.
Like I said earlier perhaps "hammered" was exaggerated but in my opinion those 6 would beat Utd at present. Hopefully though you avoid those and progress as id hate to see the PL cut to 3 clubs in the CL.
There we are, fair enough. Say you had said to my face after we'd just reached the last 16 that there were half a dozen teams in the tournament who would destroy us I'd happily say, to your face, that your opinion is bollocks. You taking issue with that is just laughable really. Of the teams left Barca are very dangerous and something of a bogey side to us, no doubt. Real are not having a very good season in all fairness and are like ourselves, can leak goals as well as score them so an equal match. Dortmund, very impressive. Whether they'd destroy us is completely debatable as by the time the match takes place all our defence should be completely fit and we might have reinforced midfield. Either way we'd have our hands full. Juventus; great defence, not too great attack. Beatable, no doubt. Bayern, we could beat them on our day, same as Dortmund. These games will be Feb/March, we could be firing by then. Shaktar, the unknown quantity of sorts. They haven't got our knock out stage experience though so I'd back us to turn them over. Schalke, Valencia, the remaining German/Spanish sides, we're better then them.
That wasn't the funniest part. The funniest part was one of their fans putting something like "Manure also lost" as a positive. Talk about scraping the barrel What a short memory you have. Forgotten last season already? Napoli dominated you at home and were clearly a better team, just couldn't hold up over two legs. Benfica had the quality to give any English team a good game, as long as they didn't have penalties awarded against them and a man sent off. Barcelona were a class above you all over the field, all they had to do was finish their 40+ chances and they would have utterly embarrassed you. Bayern were also a class above you all over the field, again all they had to do was put the ball in the net to win comfortably, something they had done against far superior teams throughout the competition. And in spite all of that you still came away with the trophy last year. So tell me, if Chelsea can effectively fluke the entire competition despite being inferior to every team they faced, what's stopping Utd squeezing through a single round?
Ah, my bad sorry, confused you with someone else! Hope you can forgive the unintended insult... Point still stands tho' - Chelsea in 2012 and Liverpool in 2005 were patently inferior to several of the teams they faced. The Barca and Bayern teams of last year and the Juventus, Chelsea and Milan teams of 05 could have "destroyed" any other English clubs at the time, and yet failed to do so. Therefore Utd and Arsenal's progression is not necessarily any more irrelevant this year than that of Chelsea and Liverpool in those years. There are 16 teams left in the competition, and any one of them could win it. If Barca, Real, Bayern or Juve play to their full potential they could well give us a kicking. But if they don't then we are fully capable of knocking any of them out over two legs.
