But I do know that good players generally make good teams generally win more matches - and we've just been lucky to get nil against red scouse so it's mainly the team, isn't it? Would the same Liverpooh team have lost today if I'd been their coach? Or if Sherwood had? I don't think so.

Oh, and while I'm on, LVG would be another expensive mistake - Rafa Benítez anyone?

The manager's responsible for his team selection and that one made no sense.
He's also responsible for the attitudes of the players that he puts out there and they were appalling today, following on from a similar display against Southampton in the first half.

If he can't pick some sensible tactics and can't motivate the players, then I'm not entirely sure what he is doing, to be honest.
His retreat to the stands seem rather cowardly too, along with poorly judged statements to the press.

To me, it says that he either plain didn't know what to do or that he's off in the Summer and so has stopped caring. He didn't even get angry when we conceded - it's as if he expected it.

I'm sure he knows more about football management than anyone on this Board. Unfortunately that isn't sufficient to make him an above average manager.

Todays performance shows little in Sherwoods favour. He can't be responsible for the mistakes by Kaboul & Dawson they can happen to any player but he can be responsible for them being under such intense pressure in the first place. Just as Rogers has his team motivated it appears Sherwood has failed in that area. Then you have decisions like Eriksen on the wing?? Why? and Bentaleb a decent player but he is not a replacement fro Sandro or Dembele is he. To be fair he has a lot of injuries to cope with but today has made him look pretty clueless.

I disagree. Your manager needs to match the ability of your team and I don't think Sherwood's even a Championship standard manager at the moment. Not all his fault but even if you take out the goals we gifted them Liverpool still had a comfortable stroll in the park against a team set up badly.

Completely disagree with that, If a player doesn't give a f*** not much the manager can do apart from drop him but you cant drop an entire team. Vertonghen summed up the attitude today, couldn't wait to get off the pitch. Also have you ever seen a defender go off the pitch before a free kick on the edge of your own box, surely he could've waited until the free kick had been taken before requesting treatment, the sooner that p**** goes the better

LFC fan in peace. You didn't even start today to be able to give up. Think we had the game won before the teams came out of the tunnel. I was nervous about this game because theoretically it should've been a tough one, thought it would be an edgy game with possibly only a goal in it. I don't know what's gone on behind the scenes to have made you capitulate so easily, sorry to say because you started to play some nice stuff when Sherwood first took over. Anyway, good luck with the rest of your season.

We don't actually know how this would have worked out had we not gifted them two goals. You do? Like you know that Palace would beat Chelsea and West Ham get a 0-0 at their place? Nothing is certain, but it is quite likely that if you give a good team already playing with confidence a 2-0 start you are not going to win and likely things will get worse.

No idea since I don't know why Adebayor was being left out. I've always said it is the manager's job to keep the whole squad motivated and happy but was told by everyone that some players are beyond this and it wasn't Harry's fault that eg Taarabt and Dos Santos were poorly behaved. The only reason that Sherwood got off to a good start was by selecting Ade who repaid his faith, but if that lost him the rest of the squad that must go in the balance too.

Listening to Sherwood's brief post match talk with the BBC this morning, I'm convinced that he's been taking lessons from Harry. Nothing is ever his fault. He said that we made individual errors, you can train them but you can't legislate for that, etc. he then says that we too have some excellent players, but that they didn't show it yesterday. Why's that then Tim??....

As I said after the Southampton game, he suddenly went from wearing the body warmer and tracksuit that he was comfortable wearing to wearing a suit - something a sports psychologist would have a field day with, saying he is hiding behind a suit so the players respect his authoritah.

His skulking off to the stands didn't help.
