I think some fall in to the trap of assuming money means we cant compete, and use it regularly to support a manager who has failed consistently for almost a decade. He hasnt done well - he has had teams that could and should have won trophies over the last 8 years. We are a long way off competing for the premier league title now and that is not good enough. Plain and simple. We need to dispense with excuses and change. The fans who who accept a top four finish as success are entitled to be happy with that - sometimes I actually envy them because they must not be as frustrated as i am with the lack of silverware and the continual collapses whenever we are close - but I will never be happy with that. It's failure. Manchester Utd would not accept it, so why should we?
it is a lack of ambition, tight hold on purse strings by the owner, avoidance of damage to Wenger's 'coach the youth to success policy', and finally that Wenger is past his best. Top 4 is wonderful for the owners and Manager.
