If a job is worth doing, it's worth doing well. I was lying in bed this morning thinking back to that dinner I attended and one question I asked him. I asked "How long has Nigel got?" (we were top or 2nd in the Championship at the time) and I was of course tongue in cheek, but even still he gave me a second look as though to ask who I had been speaking to. The man is a meticulous planner and I wouldn't be surprised if he knows now who he wants as the next manager. This decision won't be because he has sacked MP, but because he has left to manage Barca or Argentina. I just don't believe that NC hasn't got an envelope in a draw ready for that day.
I agree with what you are saying. I was being a little bit tongue in cheek but even so the Sky cycle thing is a fact. Lets see if they can win the Tour again this year.
Good to see JWP getting abit of press after a coule of barren days. I thought the Polish guys were there (not the builders but from thier FA ) not to see Boruc but to have a look at MPs training methods
I think this is the most exciting article ever. The quality of what is going on here is just staggering.
It's quite understandable that would be desperate for Saints to fail, after the collapse of your own club, but how little you understand about this present regime. This is for keeps, or as near as dammit.
I'm not desperate for Saints to fail. I just know you won't win the league. Not this season, next season or the season after that. Tottenham spent 100 mil and are still miles off it. Lots of teams have good seasons and then fade away.
We are not saying we can win it, the whole ethos is HOW can we win and the measures and strides that need to be taken. It's the tiniest attention to detail which could be the difference between success and failure.
For us to win the league would take two things: us playing well and all the top clubs going dodgy. The reason we got so high at the start of this season is that both those things fell into place. However, the usual candidates are now picking up points. I am hoping that if we maintain our form we can hang on their coat tails and finish well. I am not excited because I think we will win the title this year, but because we can be spoken of in the same breath as title prospects. That is a massive advance. And we have a Chairman who thinks he can see a way of breaking through into the top echelon of English football whilst playing entertaining football and maintaining stability.
