Well done Checo- even Red Bull don’t know how to congratulate him with any real emotion, ****ers. Legitimately still in the title fight and whilst he will never beat Max, it shows how ****ing ridiculous that decision was last week in Spain.
Well that was dull after no drama safety car clean the track bullshit. Show was potentially a classic today and ruined by absolute nanny state race director
I like it , went to the time trials years ago , the day after Scott Brayton was killed . everyone was so approachable ! And to see the cars cross the bricks and the time delay before you hear the noise is amazing .
Binotto in his interview with Ted saying he’s more disappointed that they lost points in the constructors championship than Charles not winning the race. What a twat. Ferrari team principle Mattia Binotto speaking to Sky Sports: "Certainly disappointing result, I understand the disappointment of Charles [Leclerc]. He thinks something was wrong in the decisions we made - I think we underestimated the pace of the inters. We should have left him out longer maybe later on. Mistakes do happen but more importantly we need to understand why they happen. We will do it. "As Ferrari we are disappointed - we believe there was a clear breach of regulation with the Red Bulls on the yellow line. Being on the line is breaching the race director notes and we are still seeking clarification from the FIA. "It's not a relief [that Verstappen didn't win], we have lost constructor points today and that's more important. It's come down to mistakes we need to analyse. The slow lapped cars Alexander Albon and Nicholas Latifi cost them positions, it's a lot of situations that have not been in our favour. We made mistakes and I will take responsibility for that. "Overall, it's been a difficult race."
That’s two races in a row that Leclerc has been utterly dominant, yet doesn’t even have a podium from them. That’s not how you winchampionships, sadly.
The Monaco GP has proved just how unsuited it is to the modern F1 cars. People want to see racing not a procession through the all to familiar landmarks of tinsel town. The 2022 F1 car is wider than a Range Rover, these narrow streets were a true test of car and driver back in the day, but no longer provide entertaining racing, take the antics of Alonso for example. Keep the layout for the historic F1 weekend but the time has come to scrub it from the schedule.
Ferrari protesting the result, saying both redbulls crossed the pit exit lines. Max definitely looked very aggressive on the way out, but they did the old big club VAR replay and showed an angle that wasn't clear. You coulda posted that 40 years ago and it would still have been relevant, joke of an event.
Ferrari really do hold a lot of value in the constructors championship, and in reality they are correct to do so. This sport is predominantly about building the best machine, and they want that title.
