Same as usual then. Last season, we were given an opportunity to win the league, yet completely collapsed.
I'm keeping the faith as it's all we have left this season. Others will manufacture a tub of self pity to wallow in though.
I thought it was mental strength we lacked? Now I learn they all have no heart! Team obviously needs to do more heart training! Obviously Wenger is a rubbish manager not noticing the team are all missing a vital organ!!
I think our resident armchair experts believe we need to pay a visit to the Wizard of Oz http://www.metrolyrics.com/if-i-only-had-a-brainheartnerve-lyrics-wizard-of-oz.html Yet another testimony to their complete lack of reality.
when you 2 have finished licking each other - - - we are unbelievably lucky to get a second chance. The problems are there for all to see - but many prefer to slink away and live in the world of make believe. If we don't take this chance surely Wenger must do the decent thing.
Why do you lot even respond to Toledo - he is at the bottom of the food chain. I used to get more sense from ComeOnEngland back on the original 606 forum, and he was a prized twat As for not giving up hope, you follow your team for life, you accept your lot and move on. I stopped caring about this season ages ago .... I can't quite sever the emotional tie though, blasted love of football.
You really don't take a joke well, do you? Try not to take yourselves so seriously. It has been a very challenging season, from start to finish. All I can suggest is that there are many, many great players (and Managers) that do not have great seasons every year. In past years I think the criticism that Arsenal have folded at the end have had some validity, but this year we have come back and we have shown tremendous heart and spirit to overtake Chelsea, Newcastle and Spurs. The team is mentally exhausted. I don't think this criticism of their character is deserved.
I see - you were joking Well from what I can make out we havent won any of our last 4 games and our run this year at the crucial stage of the season is almost as bad as last years'. How you can say the team are menatally exhausted is beyond me - why are City's or Chelsea's or Newcastle's or Utd' or Spurs' players not mentally exhausted - all of them are getting better results than we are in the last few games. I find the excuses just keep on coming: physical tiredness, mental exhaustion, not enough money, transfers take too long, no players are available... You've looked everywhere but at the manager and players. Wake up and realise the problem does not lie with issues every single team faces. Our team is weak mentally and collapse when the pressure is on and we play a style of football that leaves us woefully exposed to even average opponents. If our precision game doesnt click, we look average going forward ourselves and when it does we can win in style. It just is not consistent enough - just a fraction off and we can easily lose. Just so tired of fault being levelled anywhere but with Wenger and the players
Is it just our team? Isn't this a problem for every team, and why football is a great game? Every team this year has lost or drawn games they should have won. Man Utd 4-4 with Aston Villa! You take something that happens every year to every team and make out that it is a specific weakness for Arsenal. You might just as well blame Wenger for the cold weather every winter. Hate to tell you, but the chances are the new players coming in and a new manager will have exactly the same problem. It is just going to be a matter of degree. You are right, it is a matter of fractions.
You are right that all teams have hiccups along the way, but we go into a complete nose dive at crucial times. This year and last are the two most acute examples. Your arguments for our failures are designed around everything BUT Wenger - and therefore I dont take them seriously.
No, i accept that Wenger has made mistakes, I don't focus on them because you and the gang have that pretty well covered. Just trying to balance the debate.
There was someone, can't remember who, that used to say that if he supported an agrument, he used to pretend to oppose it at the start of a debate and then pretend to be won over during the course of a meeting. He said it was more effective than supporting a point of view from the start. Perhaps I really am on your side?
Sorry all but we have failed miserably on this board. I think we got as far as points 1 and 2 and then ****ed it up frm there ... in fact we have screwed up point 2 as well. http://www.wikihow.com/Win-Informal-Arguments-and-Debates
