Rooney has the look of a player that wants away and his mannerisms this season are different, he no longer chases referees giving them obscene verbals he now just mumbles, and he can't even be arsed putting much effort into his diving ability.

Bayern had more world-class players and were the better team, unfortunately for them they never parked the bus for the couple of minutes, but that's life.

But we are in an era now where there's at least 3/4 top class teams.

 

The only way I feel a team that is poor can win the CL is by playing in a very negative manor, and riding your luck a lot, as Chelsea showed. But what Chelsea did have which we don't is a very solid defence.

So I personally don't see how we can win it, as against a Bayern, or a Barca we are likely to get a good hiding

 

To be fair they were the better team on the day, but only cos we were missing Scholes and Keane. A shame really - I reckon if we'd had our full side out that could well have been the best final of all time, but without them we ended up with plenty of possession and set pieces, but without actually creating clear cut chances until the very end. Not that I'm complaining of course

 

and a liverpool too , remember when Everton took over the 4th spot

Saying it's only 5 matches makes it sound so easy, it's like when Chris Tarrant says your only 5 away from a million

 

I think its best I point out that Chelsea had a change of manager when they won the champions league.
