I think if we had got that penalty in the 1st half we would have spanked them, 2-0 after 25mins they would have had no answer. Im happy with the point we have achieved which now puts us on 21 <ok>

P.S were 6 points better off than we were at the same stage when we were last in the premier league!

I do feel our Wesley needs to start every game he can. For a smallish guy,
he was absolutely colossal tonight <ok>

Hi guys, I'm new to not606. I'm a big canaries fan - currently living abroad in Poland so my opportunities are limited to watching the lads play live. I'm back for Christmas so hopefully I can at least catch a game or two (in the pub!). I've been keeping a close eye on our team and I have to say that I was very impressed with the way we played today. I thought we had the better of Wolves in the first and probably should have put a few more away, but that's football for you! The second half seemed to be more in favour of the opposition but we did pretty well to sneak in a cheeky second (massive shout out to Simmo who has been waiting patiently to show us what he can do!). Anyway, I am trying to convert all the students at the college where I work to become canaries (sadly most support either Chelsea or Barca!).

    All the best - David

Just spied this in a post match report <yikes>

"Zubar became the first player to be booked after a late challenge on Grant Holt, who then followed him into referee Chris Foy's notebook after an off-the-ball clash with Tierney."

Can't beat a little passion in the ranks <ok>

    Welcome along, Hat-trick.

    Match ratings from yesterday:
Ruddy - 7 - Can't fault him for the goals, saved the point at the death for the umpteenth time in his Norwich career.
Naughton - 5 - Got booked again for guess what; another late sliding challenge and that's 5 yellows this season. Wingers caused him real problems Jarvis especially. Quiet in attack.
R Martin - 7.5 - player of the season so far, was unfortunate that Wolves scored their first because he had charged down the initial shot bravely.
Whitbred - 7 - Hard to see Barnett replacing Whitbred anytime soon or Ayala/de Laet/Ward when they return to the team. Looks less error prone than Barnett and dependable in the air. (Although I think he got beat a little too easily by Zubar)
Tierney - 7.5 - Good all night, important in our first goal too.
Crofts - 5.5 - Didn't really notice much of him to be honest.
Fox - 7 - Bit surprised he got subbed instead of Crofts if I'm honest, I thought he had a good game, won some important tackles although couldn't make anything happen with setpieces.
Surman - 7.5 - Great first half, anonymous second half!
Hoolahan - 9 (MoM) - A return to form of Wes Hoolahan, made Norwich tick and even got applauded from the Wolves fans when he was subbed!
Holt - 5 - Anonymous - which was disappointing considering how effective Morrison was. Should of made way sooner.
Morrison - 8 - Bullied Wolves defence throughout.

    Subs:
Jackson - 7 - Nearly didn't score that tap in, but hopefully he'll go on a goal scoring run like last season now!
Johnson - 6 - On for the same amount of time for Jackson but I can't remember him doing anything!
Bennett - n/a - Came on late when we where just defending the point. Can't even remember if he touched the ball.

DM, you are harsh on naughton. jarvis was absolutely outstanding and naughton had little support from crofts who i felt was our weakest player on the night. also, i suspect getting booked was on the agenda if it means his suspension rules him out of a game he couldn't play in anyway! hoolahan grew into the match, surman i thought was excellent throughout and morison outstanding too

As a Wolves fan at the game last night, can I just say that Kevin Muscat was a maniac and a constant source of shame and embarrassment to most Wolves fans. I thought Norwich played well last night, and the movement and passing showed up Wolves limitations, but games are won in the two penalty areas and your defence definitely needs improving (I should know I've been watching a struggling defence for a long time now). If Lambert can improve that in January you should have no problems staying up. I would say there are at least 4 teams worse than you, including Wolves who haven't improved as a team over two and a half seasons in the Premier League. I thought we deserved at least a point though. We made plenty of chances, and the result could easily have been 4-4.
Having watched Norwich and Stoke in the same week, your team plays football. Stoke are good at something, it's just not football.

thanks neily. we have the ability to 'mix it up' when the situation requires it but we certainly don't play like stoke. i thought our passing in the wolves half was free-flowing and positive at all times. thats not to say we don't play the odd long ball when its required but thats why i think we have the edge on swansea, despite their clean sheets. they can only play the game one way. if that doesn't work they come unstuck - we however can change and i see no reason why, even with the leaky defence, we can't stay up. i thought wolves played well too, though their first 30 minutes they were poor. can't see wolves going down myself. i still have a feeling that qpr are going to struggle, despite their wealth...
