BP has a tiny interest in Libyan oil. As for the spuds, I know you guys have pissed away all your Euro grants, just trying to help.
When and about what? Edit: thinking about it: you are on here EVERY ****ING NIGHT whining. Whine whine whine.
I looked over at the Geordie/Sunderland boards today, the Geordies were gloating over drawing against a 10 man Sunderland
In fairness (please god let the SMBs not invade this thread) it was an unbelievable display by Dean. You could have swore he had put an accy on Sunderland before the match such was the bias and loath to award a penalty, 5 penalty shouts and only 1 awarded as it was too obvious not to.
I'm almost half English...I don't have a problem with England, maybe the royal family and many politicians but I've lived there nearly all my life, I was merely saying that if 1 MILLION english died in a disaster, imagine the outrage if anyone dare mock it in any way
Give over Jacky, he sent 2 of theirs off and gave them a penalty, he can't have been too bad, Tiote should have been off too I don't mind the mackems
Sent 1 off for an obvious punch, only gave the most obvious penalty of 5 possibles shouts, sent off second player when game was over. Was handing out yellows to newcastle players llike candy when some clearly didn't deserve one e.g. Cabaye, although the scream of Barsley in that challenge you would have thought Cabaye's trailing foot grazing his toe had ripped his leg off completely
I don't know how accurate your 1 million figure is but Jakey was on here the other night mocking the 450k British casualties in WWII, I wasn't outraged.
Oh please. And how exactly did I do that? By saying that a nation, Russia, whos wartime death toll was 30 million, basically won the war singlehandedly while the Western front was very much less significant in the ending of the war
What the battle of britain, it was compared to the scale of other battles. The Germans were merely probing. The real fight was to the east at Leningrad, in Stalingrad and on the peripheries of Moscow
The Battle of Britain prevented the Invasion of Britain. Germany couldn't launch an offensive against an Island that had naval and air superiority. It was a turning point in the war before Russia or the USA got involved. You may describe it as "handbags" if you wish but the thousands who lost their lives on both sides and the people who lived through those times might, possibly, object to such a description.
Turning point , no the german retreat from Stalingrad was the turning point. English in inflated sense of historical importance shocker It was a probing effort as thats all the resources the Germans had would allow as Hitler was massing his armies for a push south and east into Russia and The Balkans. Had Stalingrad and Moscow fallen the full force of the German war machine would have been brought to bear on Britain and there would be little the RAF or Navy could do about it.
