It all depends on what you find funny, it'd be a strange old world if we were all amused by the same things would it not.

Some people like Miranda for example, or "Not going out". I'd rather gouge my eyes out with a blunt poker than watch that dross but some people seem to like it, same as Mrs Brown which is hugely popular.

 

Any of the bits when he became manager at Elland Road are a f****n' scream!

 

I quite liked the first few series of Not Going Out, when Tim Vine was in it. Which is strange because I find Tim Vine the stand-up about as funny as root canal treatment.

 

Time Vine is ok in very small doses, same as all the one-line comedians of his ilk. Stu Francis, Milton Jones etc, I prefer someone who links their material into a coherent structure rather than just random jokes.

Yep, I know plenty of people who like them, and I don't mind them myself as I said, but only in small doses, 2 hours of that would annoy me no end.

Funnily enough Tommy Cooper and Ken Dodd did/do lots of one line material and I love them both although I am aware that some people can't stand them. As you say, each to his own, same as music.

That's season 6 I think, and he got fat on purpose, for comedic effect, much like Pud.
