It's unfair to start getting on Ramsey's back. Tony's 'dream manager' comments must have shattered his confidence...not a wise comment to make. Also, Ramsey has been left with no options for buying players, and left with a squad of misfits totally lacking in confidence. The fault for our position lies at Redknapp's feet. The worst outcome from all this would be us going down (which I fear is now inevitable) and an up and coming young manager being cast to the sidelines due to the mistakes made by a more experienced manager.
If the team manages to scrape through and stay up, then I have to confess I'll have mixed feelings about another year in the Premier League with the whole club (not just the team) seemingly so ill-equipped for the challenge. But... that's what I want, anyway. Scrape through or go down, either way, I continue to have a real problem identifying with the team when they're wearing those awful Nike shirts. The blue is too light, the hoops are too narrow and the back looks like every other club with a Nike shirt from the stock list of patterns. Worse, the three seasons the club has worn narrow hoops in the past four years only brings back bad memories. Back to proper hoops please, and Dennis the menace for a change strip.
What same 8 games? Redknapp had 20-odd games! Whatever way you add it up, Kiwi, Ramsey's record is poorer than Harry's this season. He should have been backed in Jan and left in charge. Take a bow Tony
I don't think he walked Nines. I think he was shafted by Sir Les and ultimately Tony. He carries the can for the sh*t signings though for sure. Dave, you're right about Rambo. He's giving it his all and he's not got a lot to choose from. I feel sorry for him actually. He's Tony's sacrificial lamb in all this.
Well if that's the case and I, like you suspect that it is, then Harry, Tony and the club have lied to us. How can we then take anything else that comes out of the club in good faith and trust that they are not lying to us whatever the matter? What a bloody shambles!
