Couldnt have written it any better than Maynard bagging a couple, shame he isnt for sale at a reasonable price I think he would do well for us.... Sven is a awful AWFUL manager living off some short lived success he had when he was with Sampdoria in the Dinosaur era! Why on earth would you buy the star defender of a play off final team (Reading) for 5 million plus and put what some see an average defender who got relegated out of the divison they are supposedly trying to gain promotion from...... Im not a manager but I dont think you need to be to work that one out! Great for Maynard and City, Leicester are this seasons Saints of League 1, everybody will uop their game 10% just to get one over on them for splashing silly cash and bullying other peoples transfers!
Your not a manager. Well said Sven had a good record with England and quite a good record with Man City so you're speaking ****. I don't mind taking the piss out of the Leicester fans but attacking Sven when the guy has had 3 games this season with a totally new team is moronic.
Obviously touched a nerver... A half decent record with England maybe.... but If any half decent football manager had the players he had at his disposal then they would have been to. Svens in it for a big pay day.... he is a big time Charlie whos answer is throw money at it and pull in some big names, ask yourself this do you think he would have been at Leicester had he not had 10/15/20 million to spend this window. No doubt a team needs time to gel but I have no problem with Leicester, I dont even have a problem with Sven im just glad he never came to us when we were filing through the 50 odd applications to lead us to glory. He speaks publicly about every transfer in the hope it will unsettle or influence players that join him... Watch the boat rock he will either be sacked or have walked by January!
Mclaren? Dutch sounding useless ..... Yeah he may be at Leicester for the big pay packet and money to spend. You could also look at it like he is trying something new? His team gel sooner rather than later and I hope it is after saints face them. They will be up there. I don't mind the mocking of the Leicester fans though
I still think Leicester will be up there come the end of the season so don't go giving it the big one just yet. Luckily we get the chance to play them before their team have gelled which should mean a Saints win.
Well Mc Claren is another matter... he should have stayed as an assistant..... Correct me if Im wrong and I know her was abroad for a while but the win over Doncaster was his English first league win since 2006. Maybe he has been out of English management longer than I though or maybe he is just rubbish! Next English manager to be Redknapp, im just hoping they dont come knocking for NA!
England would never come knocking for NA, it would mean a successful England side who play passing football. The FA wouldn't stand for that now, would they?!
Your probably right... on paper they dont look a bad team, however like everyone knows when you bring in a lot of supposedly "big names" it can take even longer as not only do you have to gel the way players play but you have to gel the egos as proven with Man city! I think they can be a good team but I just know I wouldnt want Sven doing it, Over the moon with our man Mr Atkins. Did anyone see Neil Danns was on the bench for them last night too? I rate him as one of the best CM in the Chapionship and feel he could have gone to a lower Prem team, he is an engine, similar to maybe Hammond in our team with maybe a smidge more flair, not taking it away from DH this year he has been captain fantastic! Maybe im biast but with the hopeful additionof maybe a CB and another striker I would say we have a far better team than Leicester anyway, You hear of all these signings, but does anyone think what they got for £10 million was that great?
haha it just wouldnt do would it, lets just hope the big wigs dont ever change their idea on how they want the England team managed or we could be looking for a new manager. All joking aside its nice to see how everyone at the club so wants to be here, the team look so bonded and it shows when we score, everyone apart from maybe Kelvin joins in the celebrations, havent seen a team that close well.....Im not sure I have to be fair!
I only have to phone my brothers to speak to Leicester fans. They don't seem too keen to talk at the moment. In fact, one of them was asking who Saints had bought over the Summer and when I mentioned Cork he said Jack who? And yes, he does think Leicester are certainties for promotion. Not spoken to him yet after last nights game though.
If our current form continues, I would suggest that NPC Saints will become this season's Saints of League 1......
