The only way you'd get a proper rise out of me mate, is if you were a long-haired brunette type, leathered up, and showing plenty of bummage... Nice try, however...

    And your sister/ma was a **** shag <laugh>

You should like that Black Sabbath vid then. Long-haired brunettes in leather 'a-plenty, albeit rather more brummie than bummage...

Have to say steve I think you've got the wrong end of the stick mate! Doesn't seem like cest is having a dig really, just stating his opinion. I'm sure he has no problem with the fact that you're not Fletcher's biggest fan!

Regarding he Sturridge thing, he's just a level or two above Fletcher in all honesty, and we'd have no chance at getting him. He scored 11 in 28 for Chelsea playing on the wing. Considering a lot of those games he was a sub, that is an incredible return for a winger. The only time he has played the lone striker role in his professional career was at Bolton where he scored 8 goals in 12 PL games. He was 20 years old at the time. The lad is a huge talent, make no mistake, being wasted at Chelsea unfortunately. I'd love it if he came to us but just don't see it happening.

Whatever if i was wrong i apologise.

but, how many relegated teams have been able to sell their star striker at a premium, or 30% more than they bought him for only 2 seasons before, I cant think of any at all.

When we went down we got rid of Flo for 0
SKP for 3.5 million (when we had a £20 million offer from leeds just a season or 2 before).

Honestly though, can anyone name anyone that has gone for a lot of cash from a relegated club.

IMHO he wont score 10 goals next season never mind 15-20.
He isnt even a target man, he is only 6 ft 1 inches tall, Whickam is 6 ft 2 1/2 inches, Ji is 6ft 1 1/2 and even noble is 6 ft exactly.
He got relegated, how many more relegated players are we going to buy, lets find a foreigner that wants to play in the PL that got top 10 in France/Italy for an unfancied team who would jump at the chance of coming here. Do i know any names, no, but they must be out there, somewhere.

<laugh> Howay man, no need for the insults, the Brummie accent is the worst one on a lady surely?!

North East accents are canny (unless chavvy), posh Emma Watson types are saucy, and Scouse ones are bearable til you get them laughing or shouting...

    I had a conversation with Mushy about this. These were some of the names I put forward as viable options for you;

    Bendtner
    Macheda

    But add to that:

    Bas Dost
    Dries Mertens
    Jeremy Perbet
    Kevin Merallas (sp???)
    Yilmaz (goalscoring midfielder)

(they were all on the top European leagues scoring list)

I just looked it up and Grant Holt was also on the list, who better fits the descriptions some of you have given Fletcher, in truth.

Oh dear. You're a very poor barcode bitch in all honesty. I'm afraid you are just going to have to settle for being the ginger one from my girl band.

Mirallas was very impressive for Belgium v England first half, he was woeful in France for St Etienne though, before bagging a ****load in Greece.

I'm very pro-Belgian at the minute they are bringing through some fantastic players, but I'd be surprised if we moved in that direction (although we were briefly linked under Bruce).

Sturridge? Better than Fletcher all round, physically, pace, bit of flair, better with the ball at his feet.

I do think Fletcher is a better goalscorer right now, but Sturridge will improve massively, especially if he gets a run as a striker.

His goal for team GB, not last night , v UAE, was sublime.

We simply can't afford him, or attract him, there'd be big interest if it came about that he was available, but I'd love to have him here, he'd be superb for us.
