Swansea flop Itay Shechter has joined Hapoel Tel Aviv back in his native Israel.

The 26-year-old spent last season on loan from Kaiserslautern but managed just 18 games, scoring once.

And he has not returned to the German club, where he arrived in 2011, with a return to Hapoel now secured.

Shechter became a star at the club between 2009 and 2011 and they have wasted no time offering him a five-year deal back in the Israeli capital.

"I'm really happy to be back home," he told the Jerusalem Post.

"I experienced a tough season. I didn't feel part of the team. I had to take a step back to regain confidence and enjoy playing once more."

He thinks he had it tough , we had to pay to watch him ,where as he got paid

I read an article on Itay which put a massively negative spin on it but in effect he hasn't slated us really. A headline staes Itay Hits Out at Swansea which is rubbish, he only says he didn;t feel part of the team which is to be expected as he wasn;t good enough to start for us.
I say good luck to him, he always put a shift in for us, gave 100% but obviously is not a Premier League standard footballer.
The article itself, and I know it's a dreadful cliche, but it's a perfect example of lazy journalism turning a couple of throwaway quotes into something that they're not.
