Both clubs knew the transfer deadline was 23.00 BST.
Both clubs and the player involved couldn't wait for 31st.,August - to be rid of each other ! -- so, why they did they have to wait until the absolute last minute ( and beyond ) to get their shopping done ?

Appears gaps missing in the story....as i understood it, the paperwork was submitted in time but the document folder submitted could not be opened. Surely someone could have picked up the phone, for another submission in a different format! And what the Spanish Federation using to open it, the latest wind-up technology :)
 
They never wanted to sell, I suggest that there was a subtle piece of sabotage happening
