Whilst we were making our magical journey, we saw a flash going in the other direction....

True. But that was part of the reason to post it. Their fall has been every bit as dramatic as our rise and in truth I feel for them. We should really make sure we enjoy this ride because sure as hell it won't last forever.

As for P*mpey, I miss the derbies and would welcome them back in the EPL tomorrow.

Wouldn't go that far!!

Hubris caught up with them after they mocked us, so be careful it doesn't happen in reverse.

In terms of mocking, I think you guys have at least equalled us (Certain Southampton fans, not this forum).

At least we're on the way up now, no thanks to the fit and proper parasites who sucked our club dry. As my sig goes:

Do you hear the people sing?
Singing a song of angry men?
It is the music of a people
Who will not be slaves again!
When the beating of your heart
Echoes the beating of the drums
There is a life about to start
When tomorrow comes!

Alas, such parasites continue to hang over this sport at every level. For every one Spencer Day, you have ten Balram Chanrai's

I think we both took the mockin / banter quite well. Either it was humorous and made us smile or it was vindictive and simply ignored.

Despite the dark days I quite enjoyed Div 1 and talking to a few Pompey colleagues at work, they're probably feeling the same about the current situation. I'm still in awe at how many guys you take to away games in Div 2. It must get a strange reaction from the home fans!

If Pompey don't go up this season, they really are in a bigger mess than I thought. Div 2 is awful this year, probably the weakest for a decade or more. No strong teams and none with financial backing like Fleetwood to rival PFC for getting players in.

Still looks like they pay higher wages than most in that league, but just makes players comfortable.

Anyway, for all their fan ownership, never forget it was the Sky Parachute payments that saved Pompey and meant they could pay off their debts. There's a lot of irony in that.

Bit scary seeing Hull in 08/09 had 20 points after 9 games(one more than us), yet finished the season with 35 and narrowly avoiding relegation.
