For heaven's sake! All this stuff about bandwagon jumpers. More people want to see a top flight team, it is simple. Over the years I have seen City play in front of 9,000 at Villa Park, 13,000 at Roker Park (3 years later there were more Sunderland fans than that in Boothferry Park), 12,000 at Stamford Bridge and low crowds at numerous other grounds which now see large crowds. There weren't even 2 busfuls of us City fans there. Do we deserve tickets nowadays more than other people?I have also, not with City been in a 50,000 crowd at Bolton and in large crowds at other grounds where they don't get big crowds even in the PL nowadays. Things change, people change. Some people want to get a grip. How many do Leeds get now? Yet they were sold out every week in thePL and get big crowds for a glamorous cup tie. It is life. It is human nature. Deal with it.

You'll probably be suprised then as it is possible, just got to be quick off the mark when tickets go on general sale.
i think it would sell out the first few games and the bigger games, but wouldnt be surprised if a lot of the middle of the road games didnt sell out judging on this season....if people cant get up for Boro at home in a promotion run in, Fulham or Wigan at home on a freezing tuesday night etc, probably wont sell out either...
Possibly. I've no idea just how many morons want to see 4 games only..... I think this issue is a big one for the the next FLAG summit and we would all like clarity on it.
It would be a decent argument if Wigan's crowds weren't swelled massively by away fans. What we should be looking at is the number of home fans at each game at the DW.
It is life, youre right, but I have never understood it. Why do people want to watch THEIR team more when they're playing better opposition? Who are they watching - City or the other lot? Personally, if anything Im the other way around - I never missed a home game and went to most away games when we were in the bottom division. I was in the 600 against Chester and the 1700 against Torkey but this season is the fewest games I have been to in 25 years.
NO,you were annoyed at band-wagonners. I suspect you think you are more of a fan (if in your little world that makes you feel better... do it), but remember that without the extra fans, ticket prices would need to increase to pay for the extortionate wages.
It's not true that it's impossible to get a matchday ticket, we have to sell 2,400 matchday tickets for every home game, so for at least 2,400 people it will be possible to buy one.
Like I said before, as long as they do their time wearing tiger onesies, painted faces and waving foam hands, they're proper fans by my book. It's these grumpy old gits that don't even wear a football top and take the piss out of those enjoying themselves who piss me off and don't deserve a ticket.
Sorry if its been mentioned, but I can't be bothered to read the thread.... If I get my season ticket tomorrow, is that too late for the current prices?.
Most of those who are more interested in "celebrity culture" than football. More likely to buy O.K. mag then a matchday programme, but like to have a gawp at the spectacle of seeing the husbands of famous wives when they make an appearance at the K.C. Or those man utd / City/ chelsea supporting kids from Hull who can;t get a ticket in the away end..... There's plenty of 'em
Let's face it, it doesn't matter if we had bandwagon jumpers or not, we have more than 2,500 'proper fans' that would apply for those tickets and so some 'proper fans' are always going to miss out. To not get any tickets against the big four after applying 8 times is just unlucky, I applied for 6 of those games over the two years and got 5.
Everyone's different, I accept that what you have described will appeal to some, but personally there were more attractive games that season that I wanted to attend.
