Whoa! Not entirely, Commo. I do believe third from left is a player-manager called Raich Carter (am I right or wrong, Roo?). True, I think Roo deserves dismembering (at very least) for the RH pic, and I've got to say I'm bitterly disappointed that Stanley Mortensen (the only man ever to score an FA Cup Final hat trick) isn't in there. But, with wor Raich on there, we can't knock Roo too much. P.S. Roo - if you want photographic portraits + scanned autographs of Carter and Mortensen just say the word and I'll PM you them. I got both outside Roker Park when I was a kid and still have them. You'd be more than welcome.
Thanks Mr Relic and I appreciate your kind offer but items like that would be better off in a serious collectors memorabilia or the Club's history rather than an old bloke like me. I don't know what "Commo" said (I presume you mean Commanche1) as he is on my "Ignore" list so I can't read his comments nor do I wish to. I saw Stan play at the old Boothferry Park (a mere shadow of his former self) but he will always be associated with Blackpool and his old colleague Sir Stanley Matthews rather than Hull City. Met Raich Carter when I was a kid when he did football clinics at Boothferry Park - we absolutely idolized the bloke. Treated badly at then end after an affair with the Club secretary but remained in Hull till his death even after Managing Leeds for a while. Had a sweet shop. I didn't realize until much later in life that when I worked in Sunderland from 1960-1967 the 'digs' I lived in were in Raich's birthplace - Hendon. The other players on my signature are 'legends' Ken Wagstaff and Chris Chilton(scored about 400 goals for Hull City between them) and ex-Captain Jock Davidson who still holds the Club record for appearances. Together with Steve Bruce and Mr Assam Allam the owner. I have used this signature for some time and tried to change it when I came on these boards but I found that you can only have one so I am sticking to it for the moment. I am on many boards on the 'not606' site but this is the better of them all for my money. I am occasionally on Sunderland's 'Pure Football' site as well. Been a Sunderland supporter since 1960 and had a season pass for 7 years. Loved the place and almost made it my home but I got talked into migrating instead. Just had a couple of 100 degree plus days here but an ice cold beer helps the pain () . Have a great day everyone.
