religion is meaningless to me. You’re right the state is separate to the religion. The issue is what you say you can’t criticise the state without being labelled a racist. A mate of mine who is a bit nuts went on a sabbatical to Israel and then Palestine. He came back with the view they’re both nuts but loved his time over there with both sides.

 

That’s the Iranians. Palestinians just don’t want to live like the second citizens in ghettos. Another link to nazis.

 

Mate just a few months ago people threatened riots on the streets of England if Brexit wasn't delivered. That was just a reaction to one symbol of sovereignty many felt strongly about here. Now put that into perspective. What would you do if your nation was stolen by a power far superior, and the world stood by and did nothing even after millions of your people were driven out of their lands and others had their land, home and property stolen?

I actually believe Israel has a right to exist, but likewise so do the Palestinians... and it should be done on a level playing field with a clear balance of power. It was possible through the Oslo peace process. It wasn't any Palestinian that wrecked that, it was an Israeli extremist who decided to kill one of his own - a great man called Yitzak Rabin. Applauded by Netanyahu. Says it all really.

 

But the world didn't just stand bye. It was a UN agreement i think?

But Israel seems to be afforded different rules and The Yanks dont just stand by in this case .

 

A U.N. agreement that didn't include the Palestinians. A U.N. agreement which was then ignored by Israel as you mentioned earlier.

Tbh I doubt deep down there isn't a right-minded Palestinian who doesn't wish they'd taken the agreement back in 1947. Of course at the time it felt like a massive betrayal for the Palestinians, but 1967 was the real piss-take. Israel used the war against other countries as an excuse to take more land off the Palestinians who'd done fck all - the West Bank, Gaza Strip, East Jerusalem. As a result 67 U.N. Resolutions, this time against Israel. All ignored by Israel and the "international community".
