A player has to get experience somehow and despite his international games, Steer hand't experienced pressure. Ruddy has been sent off for diving at a players feet so suspension looms every time a keeper comes out at a forward. I think a goalkeeper can handle himself as a matter of course so I have never seen the reason to doubt a player because of age.
