The first step is to stop doing their recruitment work for them by indiscriminately bombing and killing innocent men, women and children just in the hope of taking out a few nutters with them. It would also help if the west started adopting foreign policies based on what was best for the people in the region rather than on what was best for western oil corporations. Isis are the minority in these regions and do far more harm to people from that region than they do to the west (like in the above story). One of the reasons they are so successful in attracting recruits though is because all they have to do is point out that the bastard who just dropped a bomb on their children was from the 'evil' west. They are a cancer on this planet. You don't treat cancer by taking a chainsaw to someone and cutting out healthy organs as well as infected ones. You target the infected cells and hope for as little collateral damage as possible.
Fair enough. I agree it's far from a simple solution - and certainly not one that will be resolved quickly. It seems to me though that someone who wants to 'bomb the **** out out of them,' while also admitting to not having any clue which ones are the bad guys, would be just about the worst thing to happen to the region and be the biggest threat to world peace in a long time.
Wouldn't take to much notice of the bravado..... but more should be done and the masses are starting to want to see it done.One thing for sure is its going to get worse.
I would love to not take notice of the bravado. The problem is though, when you take out the bravado and generalisations there isn't anything left to take notice of.
I'm no fan of his likely opponent either, though to me she does seem like the lesser of two evils. Whoever wins, the sad fact is that America will become even more politically divided. It scares me the way that America is going politically - and I am no American hater. I used to live there and married an American.

To a lot of working class while Americans, Trump promises the answers to all their problems and to make America 'great' again. It's horseshit, of course, but Trump is a poor man's PT Barnum.
It was the opposite. It was my accent she fell in love with I think! When I was over there I was the 'exotic' European foreigner. Then we moved back here and she was surrounded by exotic European foreigners - and most of them were better looking than me
