He’s been ruled out for 3 games under concussion protocols.

Here’s a clip of the incident. Accidental or deliberate?

The more that I see it, the worse that it looks. The defender turns to run with Davies then checks, stands firm and leans in to him with his shoulder. It may not have been intended to be so brutal but it was reckless and dangerous. A sanction should follow, end of!

BBM asked about the FA response in his post match interview.
Wouldnt comment.
Said he had said what he had to say last week and anything further would be a distraction from their preparation for Tuesday.

Its interesting to follow the dynamics in these interviews. When he doesnt want to follow a line of questioning he gives a 'non-answer' and steers the conversation away. Often, the hacks will say 'fair enough' and move on.
He has built a relationship with the media that allows him to do that.
A very rounded individual. Takes pressure off the players. Quite self deprecating.

Itll be intersting to see what the relationship is like next year if things are a bit tougher, or if the wheels come off in the next couple of months.

I don't think the wheels will come off, this season anyway. They may deflate a little but we have perfectly usable spares lying around and when the rain stops we'll be using slicks for the run-in.
As for not goading the FA with an angry response, it may well be in his/our favour to keep them sweet for the time being as we may need them to be on our side at some point. Same with the referees, if you go in hard on one of those then the pack mentality may kick in and we lose any favour we may have collected so far, the referees in Division 1 are down there for a reason (same as us really  )

I can't see how the refs could be less favourable towards us. I have said before there must have been a memo to give Cardiff f all and yet we are still top.

To be fair, the siege mentality, the 'everybody hates us' view, can galvanise a team. You can imagine chambers or Wintle in the dressing room. We're going to get nothing from the ref. We have to win it beyond doubt. Like in boxing, don't let it go to the score card, knock him out.
Week after week it's working.

Sean Morrison said something similar in his WoL column the other week about how he noticed a difference in referees when playing for us compared to when he was at clubs like Reading.... he seemed to believe there was definitely something in it and that the various managers used to really use it as motivation exactly as you have said above...

Makes you wonder if an Englishman who has played for clubs both sides of the bridge can see/feel it then is there genuinely some kind of bias, be it conscious or unconscious?? :emoticon-0112-wonde

While not disagreeing with Morro, most fans of other teams appear to feel the refs in this division are dreadful.

I think the bias against us was more obvious in higher leagues, Chelsea and Burnley in the Prem are 2 that spring to mind.

I think we had more of a rub of the green when we went up from the Championship with Colin - for obvious reasons.

Hadn't thought of it like that but it sounds about right. The Premier League refs were particularly careful to look after the elite and the established.

No matter how you look at it, the refereeing in League One is utterly substandard and needs addressing.
