We've also not conceded as many penalties or had red cards as this time last year and our goalkeeper is now fully capped by England ...... comparisons are meaningless in reaility - it's this season that counts now.

fair call oldcanaries, Ruddy has come on leaps and bounds since the start of last season and has earned the right to be Englands number 2.

i wouldn't say ruddy has come on 'leaps and bounds'... he was a very good keeper when we signed him! he has improved but the thing that has obviously improved is vocally. he is a much stronger voice in the penalty box than he was before. he is quite a shy bloke and i think he found it quite tough to be commanding (in that sense) initially. every other part of his game has come on but he's not needed to improve that much cos he was already very decent. sadly, he isn't england's number two, he's number three, as for some bizarre reason the england manager rates butland ahead of him. he's obviously not seen how dodgy he's been in his three birmingham matches this season <doh>

Crowey. If an apposition fan had come on our board and said that, then I am sure Dave and myself could have had messages complaining about it. Please refrain from such comments on the forum. Thank you. :police::police:

Not precious about it at all beefy, I think its over the top, yes, but if it makes Crowey feel like a hardnut and important then its fine by me.

So are you denying that you have not implied on any thread that we should be worried by our early season results compared to last? (specifically the first two games)

Yep, I'm postive. I have only compared against results this season against their corresponding fixtures frrom last season i.e. fulham away, qpr home and spurs away. what i have been accused of is comparing Fulham away to Wigan away, QPR home to Stoke home and Spurs away to Chelski away which is totally and utterly not true, and bloody stupid thing to do.

I may have said, oh you have got less points then this time last year (i cannot remember), but i did not refer to any perticular comparisons in regards to matches you have played.

Come on then C-Rud, lets have your pearl of wisdom!

To go back to the op, I dont think either of them would be able to keep Norwich up this season
So maybe you are all making a mountain out of a molehill

I doubt Mourinho would keep QPR up, especially with their awful away support.<ok>

Exactly C-Rud, i MAY have said that, but i MAY NOT have! and either way, its still not what i believe i am being accused of, I have always when referring to is Who-ton better Lambert have referred to results against the said teams the season before.

so if thats the best you have got, i pity you.

    Simple question for you Guru!

Last season Man City went to Old Trafford and spanked United 6 - 1, this season, they both have the same manager, so if there is a different result, what exactly will that prove?

    It's a funny old game!

Dave, It's a permatation of 3 really, either Man Utd have improved, man City had got worse or the game was a complete fluke.

The thing is that was just 1 game, so far Who-ton has had 3 games and in all 3 has got a worse result, so that in effect takes out the fluke part, so that leaves have the sides you have played got better or have you got worse? In my opinion, Fulham aren't exactly any better, QPR a little but not alot and if you ask me Spurs are a hell of alot worse. which is why i came to my conclusions.
