A new 5 year plan perhaps.

Yes, he is sackable, everyone is.
I think NW has done brilliantly for us. He took us up and we endured a torrid Premier League season of more downs than ups. Not surprising with the squad we had.
No one has mentioned the much loved "Director of Football" role yet. Would that be an option for the second half of the season. Move NW upstairs and bring in a younger manager with top flight experience (a selection of leagues) and see how we go.
It would mean the risk or relegation unless NW bent the new guys ear on survival tactics, but the end of this season we will need to offload the deadwood and make wholesale changes to the team. A new 5 year plan perhaps.

Nooooooooooooooooooooooooo.. This tickled me!
I do agree with Hilts though.. We are all doom and gloom at the moment.. If Bamba comes back into the fold and puts in a few solid defensive shifts we could be on the brink of the play offs. Give it a few more games. Granted, the tactics are pre-historic, but a few more wins and we'd be right up there.. Lets wait and see.
Trump? He has the biggliest brain...We obviously need Alan Sugar in the boardroom.![]()
Therein lies the problem with getting a new gaffer in January. I've never been able to decide if the DOF role is a good or bad thing. I suppose it depends on the personalities involved. As you rightly said, NW wouldn't be able to keep his hands off.On your point about Warnock in a DOF role - no thanks, he wouldn't be able to keep his hands off and would undermine a new manager. There's enough in this squad to avoid the drop without Neil in the background. I do accept however that this is HIS squad and a new guy would have to recognise that.
I do believe the midfield needs to be sorted out in January as we will need to be looking at a more mobile defence coming in, the plodders aren't good enough. The January window with fresh ideas from a new broom and a reasonable amount of financial backing from Tan would give us a great start for next season, rather than waiting until the summer to go again.
Well, the 1st 5 year plan almost worked...5 more years of planning by Dalman and his like....![]()
I still cringe at his decision to appoint OGS - and then Slade and then TrollopWell, the 1st 5 year plan almost worked...![]()

The biggest problem with Hughton would be he'd want to bring Trollope with him.![]()

Trollope has credibility as a coach. He just proved he's not a No 1.The biggest problem with Hughton would be he'd want to bring Trollope with him.![]()

Just noted Flynn's post match comments after they got beat on the weekend.............
Newport County manager Mike Flynn said: "I wouldn't say it was tough to take because we didn't deserve anything.
"Colchester deserved the three points and there's not much more you can say about it, really.
"I don't get carried away when we win and I'm definitely not getting carried away when we lose. We lost to the better team. We gave it a go, everything started well, but they deserved the three points."
I just can't see our Neil coming out with that.........![]()
