That's an awesome yawn smiley. I'll have to remember that one. The thing is most people can only look at what has gone on in the season so far, and then project that scenario into the future. Seeing as for the last few race it has been about equal between three teams then these people will predict that Vettel will pick up the points he needs to wrap up the title in fairly short order. Exciting championship run-ins mean greater marketability, which means more cash. Bernie's reptilian eye is fixed most firmly on how much dosh he can suck out of his cash cow. I made a prediction a while ago which basically said that Vettel's domination was over, and lo, it was so. Can I see into the future? No. Am I a genius? Certainly not. But I can see what the score is when it comes to selling F1 to the highest bidder. F1 is a product. A product that promises to deliver excitement. Every rule change and tweak to the regulations has been about trying to make sure the excitement is there as promised. Expect to see a few DNFs from Vettel before he heroically falls over the line so that millions of tv viewers around the world can cluck about how exciting the title run-in was, and Murdoch can rub his scaly hands with glee.
Your not the only person Basil, my old man is starting to think it is being fixed, he's been watching it since the 70's. If Seb doesnt wrap it up before Abu dhabi - Brazil, I'll start to say the same thing that F1 is fixed.
Here we go.... So either other teams are catching up and doing what they're supposed to do... i.e. win races or there is some conspiracy that prevents Vettel's car finishing above 2nd spot. It's obviously the latter.
One amazing fact that I realised is that Vettel has nearly accumulated Button's 2009 points. Button had 95, or 100 if you consider that Malaysian GP was stopped with half points, and Vettel has 6 wins, 4 2nd and a 4th resulting in 97 points in old points system.
