while scrolling through previous games on NUFC.com as I do
I came across this game
Newcastle v Watford 2009 - 2010 season
we won 2-0 despite having Nolan sent off
but this caught my eye

Referee: Jonathan Moss. The two yellows were probably correct although
Watford's Lansbury made sure Nolan walked, with a double axel and twist.
However,
Moss ignored regular assaults by opposing players on Andy Carroll, as he had done in his previous Newcastle match, away at Blackpool.

seems like our Lansbury guy has some serious form of getting the opposition sent off
also the ref Jonathon Moss, born and raised in Sunderland - how was he allowed to ref that game
(his ref status says he's from West Yorkshire, but that's only where he lives now)
