So he's rightly fined. It's not to late for him at that point, he could have got his head down and worked hard. No, he made a complaint, not PDC, Not to Ellis Short, no, he goes behind the clubs back and reports us to his union. Not Paolo, The Club! And before we get on to the way Paolo publicly treated him, Bardo allowed himself to be photographed publicly, also his union publicly blasted Paolo. I make That Bardo 2 Sunderland 1 on talking out publicly. All Paolo's fault? I'd bet my Missus that Ellis backed the decision 1000%. Don't know what Catts has to do with anything but the fact he hasn't started full training since he had his operation tells me he's simply not fit enough. It's why I think it's bollocks that he's for sale.

Catts is busy playing golf (apparently) whilst Bardo is being frozen out. Catts "car Walking" happened under a different regime - (although he took the rap for one of the youth team for that BTW and did nothing wrong!) I think had the same thing happened with Di Canio then there's no doubt that those responsible would be made examples of. Catts isn't fit enough to train yet which is why he's playing golf - and, as has been said, I honestly don't think anyone knows the full story behind Bardsely training with the kids - has anyone asked Bardsley himself or are we taking what tabloid ****e say as gospel?

Personally I have always liked McBardo, he always gave 100% even I suspect with the self-awareness of his limited ability/ However there can be only one boss at the club and whilst I do not condone any humiliation of a player, I doubt being told to stay at home training when you have already been told after a huge bust-up with your manager, and his girlfriend (ex saylor) not helping matters, you are surplus to requirements is humiliation. PDC is probably using McBardo as an example, tough on the lad probably very good for preventing future antics of the squad.
Finally a man i can talk to. It is true Marcus it happened under a different regime, a highly thought of manager (at the time), but if he's playing golf, i take it he's using a cart, canny lifestyle mind, being paid to play golf. As for Bardo, imo he's a scapegoat for the heirarchy, out to prove a point. If he's not good enough, (i'm not sure compared to the new fellas yet) that's all fair.

I support Sunderland not Phil Bardsley. Sunderland will exist after Bardsley has left. If Bardsley had of accepted his fine and hadn't of went running to the union he may not be in the position he is today. If I was on the kind of money Bardsleys on I would be embarrassed to approach a union. I don't see any problems at all, Bardsley appears to have been turning up bleary eyed at training and took no notice of his warning from PDC, went running to the union and now he's on his way. The only players who will come to Sunderland these days are players that know they are in for highly disciplined training, Bardsley quite clearly doesnt fit the bill and therefore he's on his way out of Sunderland. The club is moving forward, Bardsley doesn't want to offer the commitment required to move forward with the club, end of a little story.
It just shows that PDC doesn't have Bardsley in his future plans....why take him to train and play, if you have no intention of playing him. The last thing he'd want on this team building trip, would be Bardo sulking in the background or even worse.....nipping off to a casino or something. Pre season tours are a hugely important thing. Everyone is talking about "gelling"....well this is when its gonna happen. These tours are not holidays for the lads.
Yeah have to agree comm. I liked Bardsley but he was total gash last season. None of this sentimental "he scored the goal" Bollocks. Fletcher scored the goals etc etc. There was a lot more to staying up than one goal. I have no idea if he's any better or worse than what's coming in but hey ho... Guess we'll fnd out
