I totaly agree and said something similar earlier RM are a big part of what happened last night. What's wrong with a game of footy without some idiot manager talking rubbish before a ball is kicked. I never understood the Liverpool fans that wanted this idiot as manager.

Well said. I have no sympathy for Mourinho given he is always trying to influence referees.

It is all I hear from many many United fans, they actually boast that he is gong to OT after Ferge and many are still very happy to see this happen.

I doubt Jose will be sacked ni the summer, he turned inter into CL champions in two years he will probably do the same with real, only Barca probably would have stopped him, I couodn't see any of the premiership sides going there and gdtting a 2 0 with the current real, only Barca can make such an attacking team park the bus, it will be very interesting to see how Fergie approaches this game in the final.

    Football justice last night:)

Fergie before games tries this, so does wenger, rafa done it before a game at OT and so have many others.

Wenger called a club "Cowards" after a game too, joselike if you ask me. My point is not that Wenger is this or that, before you jump on me, it is part of the modern game like it or lump it.
United players keep at the referee the whole game arguing decisions as do Chelsea as any good coach will tell you that if you strongly contest decisions throughtout the game you will win more 50 50 decisions from the ref.

To get all reactionary over this what it happens a lot is a waste of time. As for the diving and playacting, an England forward recently has made three ridiculous dives, two for penalties none given and one pretending to be poleaxed to get the player booked when there was no contact at all in the replay and this is just one example from one player in a 2 week period, the tip of the prem playacting iceberg. Pav at spurs is one of the worst divers I have ever witnessed.

To be fair though there is an enormous difference between the level of playacting in their league than ours. Whilst they do dive English players tend not to do it nearly as much as italians/spaniards do.

If they started banning players for faking injuries Nani would play no football due to the amount of time he spends dry humping the grass.Maybe like Drogba,he thinks he's a cow.

It's a cultural thing. Spaniards and Italians don't have such a problem with sneakiness and it's seen as clever as long as you don't get caught. That doesn't sit well with our British stiff upper lip sensibilities but I've said often that's the reason we can win the Fair Play Award but not the World Cup.

There are some Englishmen who are prepared to do whatever it takes, though. Scholes, for one. He'll do a Maradona with a hand of God, while Terry Butcher still refuses to shake Maradona's hand. Our own Steven Gerrard knows how to leave a trailing leg when he's tackled in the box.

Jose's the one who was banging on about winning titles rather than playing nice football. He can't complain when he's on the receiving end of whatever it takes.

I disagree about the "cultural thing". Joe Cole would make any Italian proud the way he goes down and screams when he aint touched, Rooney made a ridiculous dive lately for a pen and screamed when tackled only for the replay to show that there was NO contact at all. is this not what we accuse the continental players of, or is it that they are just better at it?

As for whatever it takes, spot on there, Jose got a taste of his own medicine:)

To say " well they are worse they do it more" doesn't make a difference, it goes on and more importantly it affects the results of games is what matters. Until replay goal line tech and tech in the kit and ball this will always go on, in every facet of human existence we try to get one up over each other in competition, business sport government employment even for some with their kids, you name it we push it to the max:)

I think you miss my point. I meant their public don't have such a problem with it like the British do. Balague said the same thing after the Real-Barca match. It's more widespread overseas because it's more accepted, though it took Fergie two seasons to have a word with Ronaldo, while Utd fans were embarrassed by him.

As I said, there are some Brit players who will do whatever it takes, though I've yet to see one manage more than a couple of death rolls.

I get you, valid points. lmao@ deathroll

Chelsea fans don't seem to mind Drogba's antics, remember in the CL he rolled off the pitch and as we were attacing he decided to roll back on to the pitch to stop play, he should have got baned for that.

It is always more of an eyesore from the outside, when it aint our club, though I concede that the prem isn't as nancy about it for the most part, but you still see prominant clubs with household name players doing the same when the stakes are high, and the stakes are high in the EL Classico, remember there is not a tie in the premiership that matches that one, it is more than a derby, it is about identity and politics too, that game is more significant to its fans than LFC united is to their fans, that game has its roots in history, a history outsdide of football, Francos team against the Catalans who consider themselves as such and not spanish. So there is an element to that particualr game, and probably the same with Athletico but lessen somewhat due to proximity compared to the stocked fires in Barcelona that still burn 70 years later.
