    The beginning of all those good times....some cracking days.

    My first taste was a bit earlier, around 64/65 at Redheugh Park.
    The story goes that I would run up and down the stands being a nuisance.

    It probably makes me even older than Trev <laugh>

    I’ve been there a few times.

    A friend of my father’s used to play for the Heed. Norman “bites your legs” Parfitt. He used to be the “hard” man in my Old Man’s Sunday League football team.

    Can’t honestly remember my first game ever but it was probably at Whitley Bay in the early 1960’s.

    Not surprised the only article refers to him being banned. My memories of him were that he was real hard in the old hard sense of the word.
